Marvel Music and Hollywood Records have released an EP featuring five remixes of the score for Marvel Studios’ Black Panther composed by Ludwig Goransson (Creed, Community, Venom, Fruitvale Station). In addition to Goranssson himself, DJ Dahi, WondaGurl and Uzowuru & Kleinman have contributed tracks to the album based on the film score to the hit movie directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke and Andy Serkis. A soundtrack album has been released for the Norwegian mystery drama Valley of Shadows (Skyggenes Dal). The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Zbigniew Preisner (The Secret Garden, When a Man Loves a Woman, Three Colors). Lisa Gerrard (Gladiator, Whale Rider) is featured as a vocalist on the composer’s score. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Valley of Shadows is co-written and directed by Jonas Matzow Gulbrandsen and stars Adam Ekeli, Kathrine Fagerland, John Olav Nilsen, Lennard Salamon and Jørgen Langhelle. Walt Disney Records will release a new soundtrack album for the ABC drama Once Upon a Time. The album features selections of the original music from the seventh and final season of the show composed by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It, The Accountant, Miracle), Cindy O. Connor (Not Forgotten) and Michael D. Simon (The Squeeze) who all received an Emmy Award nomination this year for their score for the series finale Leaving Storybrooke. The soundtrack will be available to download as a digital album tomorrow, August 17 (click here to download). Mateo Messina has signed to score the upcoming NBC comedy I Feel Bad. The show is created by Aseem Batra (Marlon, Scrubs) and stars Sarayu Blue, Paul Adelstein, Zach Cherry, James Buckley, Aisling Bea and Johnny Pemberton. The series is inspired by Orli Auslander’s book I Feel Bad: All Day. Every Day. About Everything and shows one woman’s unfiltered take on the side effects of trying to have it all. Batra is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Amy Poehler (Difficult People, Broad City), Dave Becky (Master of None, Insecure), Josh Maurer (Howards End) and Julie Anne Robinson (The Last Song, One for the Money) who also directed the pilot episode.
