Alexandre Desplat has been hired to score the upcoming animated sequel The Secret Life of Pets 2. The film is directed by Chris Renaud (The Lorax), co-directed by Yarrow Cheney and features the voices of Kevin Hart, Eric Stonestreet, Jenny Slate, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Hannibal Buress, Bobby Moynihan and Dana Carvey who will reprise their characters from the first movie. Death Waltz Recording Company & Mondo have announced a soundtrack album for the thriller Summer of 84. The album features the film’s original music composed by Le Matos (Turbo Kid). Keith Power is scoring the upcoming CBS drama Magnum P.I. The series is developed by Peter M. Lenkov & Eric Guggenheim and stars Jay Hernandez, Perdita Weeks, Zachary Knighton, Stephen Hill and Tim Kang. The show is a modern take on the classic 80s series and centers on a decorated former Navy SEAL who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, repurposes his military skills to become a private investigator. Justin Lin (Fast & Furious, Star Trek: Beyond) has directed the pilot episode, which Power co-scored with Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Now You See Me) who will produce Power’s score for the rest of the season. Madison Gate Records has released the main title theme from the Amazon original series The Last Tycoon. The track is composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, The Good Dinosaur, Capote, Little Miss Sunshine) who also scored the show and recently received an Emmy Award nomination for the theme, which is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. The Last Tycoon is created by Billy Ray and stars Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer and Lily Collins. The drama based on F.
