Sumerian Records has released a soundtrack album for the drama Bomb City. The album features the film’s original score composed by Cody Chick & Sheldon R. Chick (who also serves as a producer on the project). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Bomb City is directed by Jameson Brooks and stars Dave Davis, Glenn Morshower, Logan Huffman, Lorelei Linklater, Eddie Hassell, Henry Knotts, Maemae Renfrow, Dominic Ryan Gabriel, Luke Shelton and Marilyn Manson. Premiering tomorrow, November 12, is the second season of the National Geographic original series Mars created by Ben Young Mason & Justin Wilkes and starring JiHAE, Alberto Ammann, Clémentine Poidatz, Esai Morales and Jeff Hephner. The show’s original music is composed by Brian Reitzell (Friday Night Lights, Hannibal, American Gods, Boss) who is taking over scoring duties from Nick Cave & Warren Ellis who scored the drama’s first season. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring Reitzell’s music from Season 2 (click here for the full album details).
Premiering on Tuesday, November 13 is DreamWorks Animation Television’s new series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power developed by Noelle Stevenson based on the classic 1980s show and starring Aimee Carrero, Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, Marcus Scribner, Reshma Shetty and Lorraine Toussaint. Sunna Wehrmeijer (Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz) is the show’s composer. Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack for the sci-fi thriller 5th Passenger. The album features the film’s original music composed and performed by Ramin Kousha (Sharknado, Dracula: The Impaler). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 7, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. 5th Passenger is directed by Scotty Baker and stars Doug Jones, Tim Russ, Marina Sirtis, Morgan Lariah and Armin Shimerman . Mimami Media has released the original song Running from the documentary 3100: Run and Become. The track is written by the film’s composer Michael A. Levine (Cold Case, Siren, Served Like a Girl) and performed by Grammy Award-winning singer Roberta Flack. The song is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes. 3100: Run and Become is directed by Sanjay Rawal and follows an unassuming paperboy from Finland as he attempts the world’s longest race all around a 1/2 mile sidewalk loop in New York City. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated feature Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch directed by Scott Mosier & Yarrow Cheney and starring Benedict Cumberbatch. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Spider-Man, Batman, Alice in Wonderland, Nightmare Before Christmas). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (click here for the full album details). Columbia Records has released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie, including an original song by Tyler, the Creator (click here for more information).
Also opening wide is the thriller The Girl in the Spider’s Web directed by Fede Alvarez and starring Claire Foy, Sverrir Gudnason, Lakeith Stanfield, Sylvia Hoeks, Stephen Merchant, Claes Bang, Christopher Convery, Synnøve Macody Lund and Vicky Krieps. Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, In the Heart of the Sea, The Machinist, The Commuter) has composed the film’s original music. Variety is reporting that Disasterpeace (aka Rich Vreeland) is set to score the upcoming Mexican thriller The Hole in the Fence. The film is directed by Joaquín del Paso (Maquinaria Panamericana) and follows a group of boys from a Catholic school from Mexico’s upper-class on a school trip, on which they find a disconcerting hole in the fence which protects their camp’s perimeter. The Orchard will release a soundtrack album for Sadie. The album features the film’s original score composed by Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready (Fat Kid Rules the World, The Glamour & the Squalor, Elvis Presley: The Searcher), as well as the original song Show Your Colors, on which McCready collaborated with Thunderpussy’s Molly Sides & Whitney Petty (already available to download here).
