Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series The Sympathizer developed by Park Chan-wook & Don McKellar based on the book of the same name by Viet Thanh Nguyen and starring Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr., Fred Nguyen Khan, Vy Le, Toan Le, Ky Duyen, Phanxine, Kieu Chinh, Duy Nguyen, Alan Trong and Sandra Oh. Cho Young-wuk (Oldboy, Lady Vengeance, The Little Drummer Girl, The Handmaiden, Decision to Leave, Thirst) has composed the show’s original music. Check out our previous news article to learn more about the 7-parter, which will air Sundays on HBO and will also be available to stream on Max.

Premiering on Wednesday, April 17, is the Hulu limited series Under the Bridge developed by Quinn Shephard based on the true-crime book of the same title by Rebecca Godfrey and starring Riley Keough, Lily Gladstone, Vritika Gupta, Izzy G., Chloe Guidry, Javon “Wanna” Walton, Ezra Faroque Khan, Aiyana Goodfellow and Archie Panjabi. ‘As The Crow Flies’ Soundtrack Album Released

Netflix Music has released the first soundtrack album for the Turkish Netflix original series As The Crow Flies (Kuş Uçuşu). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Toygar Işıklı (Family Secrets, Son, Endless Love, Babil). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track below. As The Crow Flies is created by Meriç Acemi and stars Birce Akalay, Miray Daner, İbrahim Çelikkol, Burak Yamantürk. Demircan Kaçel and İrem Sak. The drama revolves around a young fan who maneuvers her way into the newsroom of a seasoned anchor, but soon confronts the dark side of ambition, envy and the desire to be seen. Composer Cho Young-wuk is reuniting with director Park Chan-wook  on the new HBO limited series The Sympathizer. The show is based on Viet Thanh Nguyen’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same title and stars Hoa Xuande, Robert Downey Jr., Fred Nguyen Khan, Toan Le, Vy Le, Phanxine, Ky Duyen, Kieu Chinh, Alan Trong, Duy Nguyen and Sandra Oh. The 7-parter centers on the struggles of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy during the final days of the Vietnam War and his new life as a refugee in Los Angeles, where he learns that his spying days aren’t over. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the dystopian war drama Civil War written and directed by Alex Garland and starring Kirsten Dunst, Cailee Spaeny, Wagner Moura, Nick Offerman and Stephen McKinley Henderson. The film’s original music is composed by Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Ex Machina, Devs, Luce, Annihilation, Archive 81, Men, Hanna, Free Fire). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be released next Friday, April 19. Also opening wide is the Australian horror thriller Sting written and directed by Kiah Roache-Turner and starring Ryan Corr, Alyla Browne, Jermaine Fowler, Penelope Mitchell, Noni Hazelhurst, Robyn Nevin, Danny Kim and Silvia Colloca. Anna Drubich (Barbarian,  Fear Street Part 3: 1666, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Werewolves Within) has composed the film’s original music. The show is created by Blake Crouch (Good Behavior, Wayward Pines) based on his bestselling book of the same title and stars Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Connelly, Alice Braga, Dayo Okeniyi, Jimmi Simpson and Oakes Fegley. The 9-part sci-fi thriller centers on a physicist, professor and family man who — one night while walking home in Chicago — is abducted into an alternate version of his life and has to try to return to his reality amid the mind-bending landscape of lives he could have lived. Milan Records has announced Challengers [MIXED], a special mix featuring music from the score to Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers composed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Soul, Watchmen, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Mank), newly reworked by renowned DJ and producer Boys Noize who was hand-selected by the duo to create a continuous DJ set. Included on the record is Compress / Repress, an original vocal song featuring lyrics written by Guadagnino. The album is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms. Challengers starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor & Mike Faist follows a former tennis prodigy turned coach married to a champion on a losing streak whose strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against a washed-up player who happens to be her former boyfriend.
