The details of the soundtrack album for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Simon Franglen (Avatar: World of Pandora, The Magnificent Seven, Peppermint, Notre Dame on Fire) who previously scored 2022’s Avatar: The Way of Water. Also included is the original song Dream As One written (with Franglen, Mark Ronson & Andrew Wyatt) and performed by Miley Cyrus. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, December 5 (a week earlier than previously announced) by Hollywood Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The cover art of the vinyl edition of the soundtrack album for James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash has been revealed. The album featuring the film’s original score composed by Simon Franglen (Avatar: The Way of Water, The Magnificent Seven, Avatar: World of Pandora), as well as the original song Dream As One performed by Miley Cyrus, will be released on vinyl on January 30. 2026 by Hollywood Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The details of the soundtrack album for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Simon Franglen (The Magnificent Seven, Pandora: The World of Avatar, Peppermint, Notre-Dame on Fire). Also included are the original songs Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength) co-written and performed by The Weeknd and The Songcord written by Franglen and performed by Zoe Saldaña. The soundtrack is being released today (a day earlier than originally announced) and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. A CD version is currently scheduled to be released on January 20 and a vinyl edition will be released in April (visit Amazon to pre-order). An expanded score release is also expected. ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ to Feature Original Song by Simon Franglen & Zoe Saldana
Simon Franglen has written an original song for James Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water. The track, entitled The Songcord, is performed by Zoe Saldana and will be featured in the film starring Sam Worthington, Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet and Stephen Lang. The song and Franglen’s original score from the sequel is expected to be released next month by Hollywood Records. Franglen has previously co-written and -produced the original end credits song I See You (performed by Leona Lewis) from the 2009 Avatar original movie with James Horner and Kuk Harrell (lyrics).
Simon Franglen to Compose Music for James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ Sequels
Simon Franglen has been hired to write indigenous songs to be performed on screen by members of various Na’vi clans for James Cameron’s Avatar 2 & 3. The composer is also attached to score the first two sequels (which are being shot simultaneously) to the Academy Award-nominated 2009 film (scored by James Horner) will star Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Dileep Rao and Matt Gerald who are reprising their roles from the original film. They are joined by Sigourney Weaver (in a new role) and new cast members Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, Brendan Cowell, David Thewlis, Vin Diesel and CJ Jones.

Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for Walt Disney World’s themed area Pandora: The World of Avatar. The album features the music written by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Braveheart, A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) and Simon Franglen (The Magnificent Seven, Peppermint) for the attractions located in the themed area. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon and iTunes, where you can also check out audio samples. Pandora: The World of Avatar is based on James Cameron’s 2009 hit movie scored by Horner who received an Academy Award nomination for his work on the project.
James Horner to Compose Music for Disney’s ‘Pandora: The Land of Avatar’ Theme Park Attraction
James Horner revealed in an interview with HeyUGuys that he will be composing the music for Pandora: The Land of Avatar at Disney’a Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The theme park attraction is designed by Walt Disney Imagineering in partnership with James Cameron and Lightstorm Entertainment and will feature the wonders of Pandora, giving parkgoers the chance to “fly with banshees and explore a rich natural environment with mountains that float and interactive plants that glow at night.” Horner has composed the score for James Cameron’s 2009 movie and will return to score the sequel, which is scheduled to be released in 2017. James Horner Talks ‘Avatar’ Sequels
James Horner revealed in an interview with Andrew Freund at the Los Angeles premiere of the IMAX documentary Living in the Age of Airplanes this past Monday that he has “started to get ideas from the filmmakers” about his music for James Cameron’s upcoming Avatar sequels, while it will be a while before he starts recording anything for the project. Avatar 2 is currently scheduled to be released in December of 2017 by 20th Century Fox with two more sequels planned to come out in the following years.
