4AD has released a soundtrack album for Boots Riley’s comedy Sorry to Bother You. The album features the film’s original score composed by Tune-Yards. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Interscope Records has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie by The Coup last summer. Sorry to Bother You is written and directed by Riley and stars Lakeith Stanfield, Tessa Thompson, Armie Hammer, Omari Hardwick, Terry Crews, Steven Yeun, Jermaine Fowler and Danny Glover. Notefornote Music will release a soundtrack album for the documentary First to the Moon: The Journey of Apollo 8. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexander Bornstein (Paradox, The Last Heist, Black Site Delta). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on June 7, 2019. First to the Moon is directed by Paul Hildebrandt and tells the story of the Apollo 8 mission and the three men that crewed it. Premiering tomorrow, April 22, is the HBO and BBC series Gentleman Jack created by Sally Wainwright and starring Suranne Jones, Sophie Rundle, Gemma Whelan, Timothy West, Jeremy Lister and Gemma Jones. The show’s original music is composed by Murray Gold (Doctor Who, Torchwood, Death at a Funeral, A Very English Scandal). Premiering on Friday, April 26, is the Netflix original series Chambers created by Leah Rachel and starring Sivan Alyra Rose, Uma Thurman and Tony Goldwyn. James S. Levine (Glee, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story, Running with Scissors, Damages, The Weather Man) is composing the show’s original music. This past week, Gregoire Hetzel (Incendies, Summertime, The Midwife) has recorded his music for the upcoming French thriller Oh Mercy! (Roubaix, une lumière). The film is written and directed by Arnaud Desplechin (Esther Khan, Jimmy P.) and stars Roschdy Zem, Antoine Reinartz, Léa Seydoux and Sara Forestier. ‘Hostile Planet’ Vol. 2 Soundtrack Album Released

Milan Records has released the second soundtrack album for the National Geographic docu-series Hostile Planet. The album features more music from the show composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Shazam!, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Hellboy). The Vol. 2 album, entitled Jungles and Grasslands, is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The first album (Mountains and Oceans) was released earlier this month and a third album (Deserts and Polar) will be coming out next month. Hostile Planet hosted by Bear Grylls and executive produced by Guillermo Navarro looks at animals surviving at the extremes of different environments, in mountains, oceans, grasslands, jungles, deserts, and polar regions. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the horror thriller The Curse of La Llorona directed by Michael Chaves and starring Linda Cardellini, Patricia Velasquez and Raymond Cruz. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Annabelle, Insidious, The Prodigy). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last week. Already playing in theaters since Wednesday is the faith-based drama Breakthrough directed by Roxann Dawson and starring Chrissy Metz, Josh Lucas, Topher Grace, Mike Colter, Sam Trammell, Marcel Ruiz and Dennis Haysbert. Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Affair, The Good Shepherd) has composed the film’s original score. Wayfind Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Hail Satan?. The album features the film’s original music composed by Brian McOmber (It Comes at Night, Little Woods, Krisha, Ugly) featuring Angel Deradoorian and Jordan Dykstra. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Hail Satan? is directed by Penny Lane and charts the rise of The Satanic Temple, a mysterious organization led by Lucien Greaves that is calling for a Satanic revolution to save the nation’s soul.
