Premiering tonight is the new CBS limited series The Red Line created by Caitlin Parrish & Erica Weiss and starring Noah Wyle, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Noel Fisher, Howard Charles, Aliyah Royale, Michael Patrick Thornton, Vinny Chhibber and Elizabeth Laidlaw. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, The Pacific, Life As We Know It) & Sherri Chung (Riverdale, Blindspot). Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, April 30, is the anime series Ingress: The Animation based on the eponymous location-enabled game and starring Yoshiki Nakajima, Reina Ueda and Shigeo Kiyama. Jacob Yoffee (Finding Carter, Andi Mack, Best Shot) has composed the music for the global release of the show. The series, which is set after scientists discover a mysterious substance that can influence human minds, and follows two factions wage an all-out battle to control its awesome power, will be available to stream stateside and in most others markets exclusively on Netflix. Gabriel Yared to Receive Max Steiner Award

It was announced today that Gabriel Yared (The English Patient, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, The Lives of Others) is the recipient of this year’s Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award, which will be presented at the annual Hollywood in Vienna Concert Gala at Vienna Concert Hall on October 19, 2019. The composer will be accepting the award in person and will also perform his compositions on the piano, together with the ORF Vienna Radio Symphonic Orchestra, under the baton of Keith Lockhart (Boston Pops) on stage. Lior Rosner (Will & Grace, Seconds Apart, The History of Comedy) is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series AJ and the Queen. The show is created by Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City, 2 Broke Girls) & RuPaul Charles who also stars in the series alongside Izzy G, Josh Segarra, Michael-Leon Wooley, Katerina Tannenbaum and Tia Carrere. ‘She-Ra and the Princesses of Power’ Theme Song ‘Warriors’ Released

Back Lot Music has released the theme song for the Netflix animated series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. The track, entitled, Warriors, is written by Kari Kimmel and performed by Aaliyah Rose and is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is developed by Noelle Stevenson based on the classic 1980s show and features the voices of Aimee Carrero, Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, Marcus Scribner, Reshma Shetty and Lorraine Toussaint. The only movie opening nationwide this week is Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame directed by Anthony & Joe Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson and Josh Brolin. The film’s original music is composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Croods). Marvel Music & Hollywood Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Click here for the full album details.

Opening in limited release is the biographical drama The White Crow directed by Ralph Fiennes and starring Fiennes himself, Oleg Ivenko, Adèle Exarchopoulos, Sergei Polunin, Chulpan Khamatova and Louis Hofmann. Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Layer Cake, Still Alice, Kick-Ass, Johnny English Reborn) has composed the film’s original score and also arranged ballet compositions by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Alexander Krein & Ludwig Minkus. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Lovett (The Signal, The Ritual, The Wind, Black Rock, Synchronicity). I Trapped the Devil is written and directed by Josh Lobo and stars AJ Bowen, Jocelin Donahue, Scott Poythress, Susan Burke, Chris Sullivan, Rowan Russell and Josh Marrott. The movie follows a man and his wife who show up unannounced at the home of his estranged brother to celebrate the holidays, but instead they are greeted with a man who is being held hostage in the basement. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Terminatory Genisys, Home, Pacific Rim Uprising) has composed the original music for the upcoming drama Georgetown. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Academy Award-winning actor Christoph Waltz who also stars in the movie alongside Annette Bening, Vanessa Redgrave and Corey Hawkins. The movie is based on the New York Times Magazine article by Franklin Foer and follows an ambitious social climber who marries a wealthy widow in Washington D.C. in order to mix with powerful political players. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary The Biggest Little Farm. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Carnivale, Ugly Betty, Appaloosa, Pollock). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 10, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
