Karim Sebastian Elias (Treasure Island, Cutting Through Rocks, Saudi Runaway, Kurdamm’ 63, Faruk, Of Fathers and Sons, Siegfried) has released a soundtrack album for the German historical sports drama The Rome Eight (Adams Acht). The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The Rome Eight is directed by Hannu Salonen and stars Oliver Masucci, Felix Kammerer, Svenja Jung, Leonard Kunz, Katrin Röver, Heino Ferch, Stephanie Amarell, Axel Milberg, Nick Romeo Reimann and Vito Wiesner. The movie is set a divided post-war Germany and tells the true story of visionary coach who defies convention with radical training methods, transforming a group of misfits into an unstoppable rowing crew.

The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Cutting Through Rocks is directed by Sara Khaki & Mohammadreza Eyn and centers on Sara Shahverdi, the first elected councilwoman of her Iranian village who aims to break long-held patriarchal traditions by training teenage girls to ride motorcycles and stopping child marriages.
‘Ku’damm 63’ Soundtrack to Be Released
Bavaria Sonor Records will release a soundtrack album for the German mini-series Ku’damm 63. The album features the show’s original music composed by Karim Sebastian Elias (Treasure Island, Saudi Runaway, Of Fathers and Sons, Siegfried) and performed by the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester . The soundtrack will be released digitally this coming Friday, March 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Ku’damm 63 created by Annette Hess is the followup to 2016’s Ku’damm 56 and 2018’s Ku’damm 59 and tells the story of Germany’s halting evolution toward larger justice and liberty told through the loves, hard-won freedoms and suffering of three sisters.
Max Richter & Karim Sebastian Elias Scoring Susanne Regina Meures’ ‘Saudi Runaway’
Max Richter (The Leftovers, Ad Astra, Waltz with Bashir, Mary Queen of Scots, Taboo, Hostiles) and Karim Sebastian Elias (Help, I Shrunk My Teacher, Einstein) have composed the original music for the upcoming documentary Saudi Runaway. The film is written and directed by Susanne Regina Meures (Raving Iran) and centers on Muna, a young, fearless woman from Saudi Arabia who is tired of being controlled by the state and patronized by her family.
Soundtrack Album for ‘Of Fathers and Sons’ to Be Released
Königskinder will release a soundtrack album for the Academy Award-nominated documentary Of Fathers and Sons. The album features the film’s original music composed by Karim Sebastian Elias (Help, I Shrunk My Teacher, Treasure Island). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 8 and will be available to download on Amazon. Of Fathers and Sons is directed by Talal Derki and follows the filmmaker as he returns to his homeland where he gained the trust of a radical Islamist family, sharing their daily life for over two years.
