Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Jumanji: The Next Level directed by Jake Kasdan and starromh Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Danny Glover and Danny DeVito. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph). Also opening wide is the drama Richard Jewell directed by Clint Eastwood starring Paul Walter Hauser, Sam Rockwell, Kathy Bates, Jon Hamm and Olivia Wilde. Arturo Sandoval (The Mule, For Love or Country: The Arturo Sandoval Story, At Middleton) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album is expected to be released. The album features selection of the original music from the first six episodes of the show’s fourth and final season composed composed by Mac Quayle (American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, Pose) who received an Emmy Award for his music from Season 1 in 2016. The movie follows a 7-year-old Korean-American boy who gets his life turned upside down when his father decides to move their family to rural Arkansas and start a farm in the mid-1980s. The full details of the soundtrack album for the film adaptation of the stage musical Cats have been revealed. The album features the film’s music composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Evita, Jesus Christ Superstar) and performed by cast members including James Corden, Judi Dench, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Hudson, Ian McKellen, Rebel Wilson, Francesca Hayward, Robbie Fairchild and Taylor Swift.
