Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the indie comedy drama Adam. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jay Wadley (IndignationTales of the CityThe OACruise). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also audio samples. Adam is directed by  Rhys Ernst and starring Nicholas Alexander, Bobbi Salvör Menuez, Leo Sheng, Chloe Levine and Margaret Qualley. The movie produced by James Schamus follows an awkward teen who spends his last high school summer in New York City with his big sister who throws herself into the city’s lesbian and trans activist scene. Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) has signed on to score the upcoming drama Downhill. The film is directed by Nat Faxon & Jim Rash (The Way Way Back, screenwriters of The Descendants) and stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Will Ferrell, Miranda Otto, Zach Woods, Zoë Chao, Julian Grey, Ammon Jacob Ford and Kristofer Hivju. The movie is based on the Golden Globe-nominated Swedish feature Force Majeure and follows a seemingly picture-perfect family as they are forced to reevaluate life, and how they truly feel about each other when they barely escape an avalanche during a ski vacation in the Alps. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1969 sports drama Downhill Racer directed by Michael Ritchie and starring Robert Redford, Gene Hackman, Camilla Sparv, Karl Michael Vogler, Jim McMullan, Kathleen Crowley and Dabney Coleman. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Kenyon Hopkins (12 Angry Men, The Hustler, This Property Is Condemned, Lilith), including the composer’s full score, music not used in the movie, source cues & more. Eduardo Cruz has composed the original score for the upcoming political thriller Wasp Network. The film is written and directed by Olivier Assayas (Clouds of Sils Maria, Personal Shopper) and stars the composer’s sister Penélope Cruz, alongside Edgar Ramírez, Gael García Bernal, Wagner Moura, Ana de Armas and Leonardo Sbaraglia. The movie follows the increasingly complex lives of Cuban dissidents during the country’s 1990s post-Soviet Union economic collapse. The film is written and directed by Solomon Onita, Jr. and stars Abraham Attah, Adepero Oduye, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine and Kwesi Boakye. The movie centers on a 19-year-old Nigerian immigrant as he struggles to balance his conflicting desires of joining a college fraternity and bonding with his estranged father, a strictly religious pastor at a local church. Walt Disney Records has released the unused song Desert Moon written for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin. The song is written by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted) and features lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (The Greatest Showman, Dear Evan Hansen). The song, which is featured in a deleted scene on the movie’s home video release, is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. Also listen to the full track after the jump. The label has released a full soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie, as well as Menken’s score earlier this year.
