Premiering tonight is the second season of the Epix original series Pennyworth developed by Bruno Heller and starring Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Jason Flemyng, Ryan Fletcher, Emma Paetz, Dorothy Atkinson,Paloma Faith, James Purefoy, Edward Hogg, Ramon Tikaram, Jessye Romeo, Harriet Slater, Simon Manyonda and Jessica de Gouw. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, His Dark Materials, The Lego Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life) is scoring the show’s second season. Also premiering tonight is the Paramount Network original movie Dashing in December written and directed by Jake Helgren and starring Juan Pablo Di Pace, Peter Porte, Caroline Harris and Andie MacDowell. ‘The Midnight Sky’ Soundtrack Album Details

ABKCO Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Netflix original film The Midnight Sky. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Shape of Water, The Queen, The King’s Speech, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla). The soundtrack will be released on December 23 and is now available for pre-order here. (UPDATE 4/8/21: A CD version will be coming out on May 14, 2021 and is available for pre-order on Amazon). Two tracks (The Midnight Sky & Aether Spaceship) are already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. The Midnight Sky is directed by George Clooney who also stars in the film, alongside Felicity Jones, David Oyelowo, Kyle Chandler, Demián Bichir and Tiffany Boone. The post-apocalyptic drama is based on Lily Brooks-Dalton’s novel Good Morning, Midnight and follows a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop a woman and her fellow astronauts from returning home to Earth, where a mysterious global catastrophe has taken place. Movistar Sound has released a soundtrack album for the Spanish TV series Tell Me Who I Am (Dime Quien Soy). The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Lucas Vidal (Fast & Furious 6, The Raven, Palm Trees in the Snow, The Cold Light of Day, The Quiet Ones). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Tell Me Who I Am  is created by José Manuel Lorenzo based on the novel of the same title by Julia Navarro and stars Irene Escol, Oriol Plá, Maria Pia Calzone, Pierre Kiwitt, Will Keen, Stefan Weinert and Pablo Derqui. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life, The Crown, Genius) is the new composer of the Epix original series Pennyworth. He is currently scoring the second season of the show developed by Bruno Heller based on DC characters created for DC by Bob Kane with Bill Finger and starring Jack Bannon as Alfred Pennyworth and Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne, as well as Jason Flemyng, Emma Paetz, Ryan Fletcher, Dorothy Atkinson and Paloma Faith. They are joined by new series regulars James Purefoy, Edward Hogg, Jessye Romeo, Ramon Tikaram, Harriet Slater, Simon Manyonda and Jessica de Gouw. The new season is set a year after the events of last season as England finds itself embroiled in a devastating civil war, with the powerful, neo-fascist Raven Union threatening to control the entire country. Opening in around 450 theaters and on VOD today is the drama Wild Mountain Thyme written and directed by John Patrick Shanley and starring Emily Blunt, Jamie Dornan, Jon Hamm, Christopher Walken and Dearbhla Molloy. The film’s original music is composed by Amelia Warner (Mary Shelley, Mum’s List). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song performed by Sinéad O’Connor & more. Details for ‘Scott Pilgrim vs. the World’ Seven Evil Exes Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

ABKCO Records has announced the full details of the new soundtrack album for Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World starring Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Kieran Culkin, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Alison Pill, Brandon Routh and Jason Schwartzman. The Seven Evil Exes Edition features both the songs and the original score by Nigel Godrich from the movie. The album, which is being released coinciding with the film’s 10th Anniversary, features twelve previously unreleased tracks, including more performances by Sex Bob-Omb and demos from Beck, as well as Black Sheep by Metric and sung by actress Brie Larson. The 4-Picture Disc LP Collection, which also features notes by both Wright and Godrich, a new double-sided film poster and a coloring page with artwork by Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O’Malley, will be released on March 26, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Bradley Denniston, as well as vocal tracks by rapper Marty Grimes and R&B singer/songwriters BJRNCK and Mansa Imani. ‘Soul’ Jazz Album Details

The full details of the jazz album for Pixar’s animated movie Soul have been announced. The album features the original jazz compositions and arrangements from and inspired by the film by Grammy Award nominee Jon Batiste. Also included is his cover of the Curtis Mayfield classic It’s All Right. The soundtrack will be released on vinyl on December 18 (visit Amazon to pre-order). A digital version featuring both the jazz tracks and Trent Reznor’s & Atticus Ross score, which is being released separately on vinyl, will be coming out on the same day. Soul is directed by Pete Docter and stars Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Ahmir Questlove Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Daveed Diggs. The movie follows a middle-school band teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town, when he is taken from the streets of New York City to The Great Before – a fantastical place where new souls get their personalities, quirks and interests before they go to Earth. Hollywood Records has released the first two songs from the soundtrack for the third season of the ABC drama A Million Little Things. Available now to stream/download is the track Would You Still Know Me written by the show’s composer Gabriel Mann (Modern Family, Rectify, High School Musical: The Musical:The Series) & Geoffrey Nauffts and performed by Lizzy Greene, as well as a cover version of 10,000 Maniacs’ Trouble Me (written by Dennis Drew & Natalie Merchant) performed by Mann himself. Walt Disney Records has announced the full details of the score album for the Pixar animated feature Soul. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winners Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Mank, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). The soundtrack will be released on vinyl next Friday, December 18 and is now available to pre-order here. A digital version, which features both the score and Jon Batiste’s jazz compositions and arrangements, which is also being released separately as a vinyl edition, will be coming out on the same day. The streaming/download link will be added to this article within the next week. Soul is directed by Pete Docter and features the voices of Ahmir Questlove Thompson, Daveed Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, Tina Fey and Jamie Foxx.
