First Frame Music has released a soundtrack album for the documentary The Last Twins. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jonathan Zalben (Flock of Dudes, 15 Minutes of Shame, #Realityhigh, Son of Morning). The Last Twins is directed by Matthew O’Neill & Perri Peltz, narrated by Liev Schreiber and tells the never-before-told story of an unsung hero of the Holocaust, Erno “Zvi” Spiegel, who risked everything to save dozens of young twins targeted for brutal medical experimentation from almost certain death at Auschwitz under the shadow of Dr. Josef Mengele’s horrific experiments.

Premiering tonight is the second season of the Epix original series Pennyworth developed by Bruno Heller and starring Jack Bannon, Ben Aldridge, Jason Flemyng, Ryan Fletcher, Emma Paetz, Dorothy Atkinson,Paloma Faith, James Purefoy, Edward Hogg, Ramon Tikaram, Jessye Romeo, Harriet Slater, Simon Manyonda and Jessica de Gouw. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, His Dark Materials, The Lego Batman Movie, Bad Boys for Life) is scoring the show’s second season. Premiering on Friday, September 8, is the Netflix original movie #realityhigh directed by Fernando Lebrija and Nesta Marlee Cooper, Kate Walsh, John Michael Higgins, Keith Powers and Anne Winters. The film’s original music is composed by Jonathan Zalben & Ruwanga Samath (Flock of Dudes). The movie follows a nerdy high schooler who finally attracts the interest of her longtime crush and lands in the cross hairs of his ex, a social media celebrity. The comedy will be available to stream on Friday exclusively on Netflix.

Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the fantasy adventure Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children directed by Tim Burton and starring Eva Green, Asa Butterfield and Samuel L. Jackson. The film’s original music is composed by Mike Higham & Matthew Margeson (Eddie the Eagle, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass 2). A soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score will be released digitally within the next few weeks and physically on October 11 on La-La Land Records’ website and October 14 in other stores. Also opening wide is the action drama Deepwater Horizon directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O’Brien and Kate Hudson. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, Ender’s Game, Lone Survivor, The Island) has composed the film’s original music. Warner Bros.
