Premiering on Wednesday, January 28, is the Australian drama Penguin Bloom directed by Glendyn Ivin and starring Naomi Watts, Andrew Lincoln, Jacki Weaver, Griffin Murray-Johnston, Rachel House, Leeanna Walsman, Lisa Hensley, Felix Cameron and Abe Clifford-Barr. The film’s original music is composed by Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder, The Affair, Enough Said, The Good Shepherd, Ray Donovan, The Door in the Floor). Check out our previous news article to learn more about the movie, which premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and will debut in the U.S. and most other markets exclusively on Netflix.

Also premiering on Wednesday is the Syfy original series Resident Alien developed by Chris Sheridan based on the Dark Horse comics and staring Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Alice Wetterlund, Corey Reynolds and Levi Fiehler. Noah Sorata (Falling Skies, The Gracefield Incident, Jinn, Reverie) is composing the show’s original music. John Palmer Records has released a soundtrack album for the action comedy Welcome to Acapulco. The album features the film’s original music composed by Javier Bayon (Te quiero, imbécil, Dorien) and Luc Suarez (Nightworld, The Nun). The show is created by Jeff Lowell (The Ranch) and stars Kevin James, Freddie Stroma, Sarah Stiles, Gary Anthony Williams and Dan Ahdoot. ‘Love Sarah’ Soundtrack Album Released

Scoring Records has released a soundtrack album for the British romantic comedy Love Sarah. The album features the film’s original music composed by Enis Rotthoff (Guns Akimbo, The Sunlit Night, Wetlands) who recorded his score with the Budapest Art Orchestra. Also included is the original song For the Love of You written and performed by British R&B/jazz singer Tony Momrelle & his writing partner/pianist Emiliano Pari (featuring a string arrangement by Rotthoff). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Love Sarah is directed by Eliza Schroeder and stars Celia Imrie, Shannon Tarbet, Shelley Conn, Rupert Penry-Jones and Bill Paterson. The movie follows a young woman who wishes to fulfill her mother’s dream of opening her own bakery in Notting Hill, London and enlists the help of an old friend and her grandma. Opening semi-wide in around 500 theaters and on PVOD today is the drama Our Friend directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and starring Jason Segel, Dakota Johnson, Casey Affleck, Gwendoline Christie, Cherry Jones, Jake Owen, Isabella Kai and Violet McGraw. The film’s original music is composed by Rob Simonsen (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Love, Simon, Nerve, (500) Days of Summer, Foxcatcher, The Way Back). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the western No Man’s Land directed by Conor Allyn and starring Frank Grillo, Andie MacDowell, George Lopez, Esmeralda Pimentel and Jorge A. Jimenez. Brooke Blair & Will Blair (Green Room, I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, Hold the Dark, The Informer, Black Christmas) have composed the film’s original music. Waxwork Records has announced a soundtrack album for the horror comedy PG: Psycho Goreman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Blitz//Berlin (The Void, Extraterrestrial, Still Born, It Stains the Sands Red). The soundtrack is now available to order as a vinyl deluxe edition on the label’s official website. A digital release (to be released on February 5) is also in the works and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. PG: Psycho Goreman is written and directed by Steven Kostanski and stars Nita-Josee Hanna, Owen Myre, Adam Brooks, Alexis Hancey and Matthew Ninaber. Lakeshore and INVADA Records will release a soundtrack album for the TNT original series The Alienist: Angel of Darkness. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) (Midsommar, Triple 9, Seven Seconds, Shooter, The Stranger). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 22 and will be available to stream/download here. Lakeshore Records has previously released Rupert Gregson-Williams’ score from 2018’s first The Alienist season. The Alienist: Angel of Darkness is based on Caleb Carr’s novel and stars Daniel Brühl, Luke Evans, Dakota Fanning, Douglas Smith, Robert Ray Wisdom, Matthew Shear, Ted Levine, Melanie Field and Rosy McEwen.
