Duncan Sheik has composed the score for the upcoming Go90 short-form musical series Pulse. The show created by Kyle Jarrow will be directed by Anna Mastro (Walter) and stars Katie Findlay, Craig Stickland, Calum Worthy, Melissa O’Neil, Alexandre Landry, Meg DeAngelis and Harley Morenstein. The 12-parter follows a group of American expatriates living in Berlin who find themselves immersed in the city’s vibrant, kinetic dance scene. Each episode will feature an original song performed by the show’s cast. The series is produced by New Form Digital.

Hans Zimmer, Jasha Klebe & Jacob Shea of Bleeding Fingers Music Scoring BBC’s ‘Planet Earth II’
BBC Earth has announced that Hans Zimmer is composing the music for the upcoming docu-series Planet Earth II. He is composing the show’s theme and main titles. Jasha Klebe who previously scored last year’s Oscar-nominated documentary Winter on Fire and Jacob Shea who is known for his music for the Morgan Freeman-hosted series Through the Wormhole are also involved in scoring the show courtesy of the music production house Bleeding Fingers Custom Music Shop (Saints & Strangers, Sons of Liberty). The series is narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton (Hidden Kingdoms, Life, Africa) and produced by Tom Hugh-Jones (Planet Life). The 6-parter explores the unique characteristics of Earth’s most iconic habitats and the extraordinary ways animals survive within them.
Sean Callery to Return for ’24: Legacy’
Sean Callery is set to compose the music for the upcoming Fox drama 24: Legacy. The composer has already scored the pilot episode for the 24 spin-off starring Corey Hawkins, Miranda Otto and Jimmy Smits. The series chronicles an adrenaline-fueled race against the clock to stop a devastating terrorist attack on United States soil. Howard Gordon (Homeland, Tyrant), Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Empire), Manny Coto (Dexter), Evan Katz, Stephen Hopkins (The Ghost and the Darkness, Predator 2) and Kiefer Sutherland return as the drama’s executive producers.
WaterTower Music to Release ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Soundtrack
WaterTower Music will release a new soundtrack album for the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s sixth season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Pacific Rim, Iron Man, Clash of the Titans, Warcraft). Crackle’s ‘StartUp’ to Feature Music by Chris Hajian
Chris Hajian is scoring the upcoming Crackle original series StartUp. The show is created by Ben Ketai (The Forest) and stars Martin Freeman, Adam Brody, Edi Gathegi and Otmara Marrero. The drama is set in Miami and tells the story of a brilliant, yet controversial tech idea that gets incubated on the wrong side of the tracks by three strangers who don’t necessarily fit the mold of tech entrepreneurs. Ketai is also executive producing the Critical Content production with Andrew Marcus & Tom Forman (Limitless), Ray Ricord, Gianni Nunnari (The Departed, 300) and Shannon Gaulding.
Jeff Russo to Score CBS’ ‘American Gothic’ & ABC’s ‘Time After Time’
Jeff Russo has been tapped to score the upcoming CBS drama American Gothic. The show is created by Corinne Brinkerhoff (The Good Wife, Boston Legal) & James Frey and stars Juliet Rylance, Anthony Starr, Virginia Madsen, Justin Chatwin, Megan Ketch, Elliot Knight, Stephanie Leonidas and Gabriel Bateman. The series centers on a prominent Boston family reeling in the wake of the chilling discovery that someone in their midst is linked to an infamous string of murders. Brinkerhoff and Frey are also executive producing the CBS Television Studios and Amblin Television production with Justin Falvey & Darryl Frank (The Americans, Under the Gun) and Todd Cohen.
‘The Musketeers’ Seasons 2 & 3 Soundtrack Announced
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC series The Musketeers. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second and third season composed by Paul Englishby (An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Sunshine on Leith, Luther). The soundtrack will be released on July 1, 2016. The Musketeers is created by Andrew Hodges and stars Luke Pasqualino, Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera, Howard Charles, Peter Capaldi, Maimie McCoy, Tamla Kari and Hugo Speer. The drama is set on the streets of 17th century Paris and follows the adventures of Athos, Aramis and Porthos.

Premiering tomorrow, May 30, is the History event mini-series Roots directed by Phillip Noyce, Thomas Carter, Mario Van Peebles and Bruce Beresford and starring Forest Whitaker, Anna Paquin, Laurence Fishburne, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Anika Noni Rose, Chad L. Coleman, Erica Tazel, Derek Luke, Malachi Kirby and Regé-Jean. The 4-parter’s original music is composed by Alex Heffes (The Last King of Scotland, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, 11.22.63). Philip Miller (Catch a Fire) has co-scored the Noyce-directed first episode. Questlove (Top Five) serves as the executive music producer on the project. ‘Bloodline’ Season 2 to Feature Music by James Levine
James Levine has composed the music for the second season of the Netflix original series Bloodline. The show is created and executive produced by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman & Glenn Kessler and stars Kyle Chandler, Linda Cardellini, Ben Mendelsohn, Sissy Spacek, Norbert Leo Butz, Jamie McShane and Jacinda Barrett. The second season of the drama continues the story centering around the Rayburn family, which owns and runs an oceanfront hotel in the Florida Keys. Levine has previously scored all seasons of the FX series Damages for the producers.

Lakeshore Records will release two new soundtrack albums for the Netflix original series Narcos. The albums feature the songs from the show by artists including A Taste of Honey, Pedro Laza y sus Pelayeros, Soffi Martinez, Los Pamperos, Son de Loma, Los Diplomaticos, Son Palenque, Los Golden Boys, Carlos Arturo & more.
