Premiering tomorrow, September 5, is the Discovery mini-series Harley and the Davidsons written by Evan Wright, Seth Fisher & Nick Schenk and starring Michiel Huisman, Robert Aramayo, Bug Hall, Stephen Rider, Jessica Camacho, Daniel Coonan, Annie Read, Wilson Bethel, Dougray Scott, Gabe Luna, Alex Shaffer, Essa O’Shea and Sean Scully. Premiering on Tuesday, September 6 is the OWN original series Queen Sugar executive produced by Ava DuVernay & Oprah Winfrey and starring Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Tina Lifford, Omar J. Dorsey, Dondré Whitfield, Timon Kyle Durrett, Nicholas L. Ashe, Greg Vaughan and Ethan Hutchison. Singer/songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello is composing the show’s original music. ‘The Night Of’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the soundtrack album for the HBO original series The Night Of have been revealed. The album features the show’s original music composed by Jeff Russo (Fargo, Power, Time After Time, CSI: Cyber, American Gothic). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 2 (click here to download the album) and physically within the next couple of weeks. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. The Night Of created by Richard Price & Steven Zaillian is based on Peter Moffat’s British TV series Criminal Justice and stars John Turturro, Riz Ahmed, Michael Kenneth Williams, Bill Camp and Payman Maadi. The 8-parter follows an ambulance-chasing New York City attorney who gets in over his head when he takes on the case of a Pakistani man accused of murdering a girl on the Upper West Side.

‘Legends of Tomorrow’ Season 1 Soundtrack Details

La-La Land Records has announced the details of the first soundtrack album for the CW drama Legends of Tomorrow. The album features selections of the original score from the series’ first season composed by Blake Neely who is also scoring the network’s other superhero shows, including The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl. The soundtrack is now available to order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Legends of Tomorrow is developed by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim based on the DC Comics characters and stars Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Caity Lotz, Arthur Darvill, Ciara Renée, Franz Drameh, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller. The drama will return for a second season on October 13, 2016.

Trevor Morris to Score NBC’s ‘Taken’ TV Series’

Trevor Morris has been tapped to score the upcoming NBC drama Taken. The show stars Clive Standen, Jennifer Beals, Brooklyn Sudano, Monique Gabriela Curnen, Gaius Charles, Michael Irby, James Landry Hébert and Jose Pablo Cantillo. The series based on the hit movie franchise starring Liam Neeson tells the origin story of younger, hungrier, former Green Beret Bryan Mills as he deals with a personal tragedy and is pulled into a career as a deadly CIA operative. Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element, Lucy) is executive producing the EuropaCorp TV and Universal Television production with Alexander Cary (Homeland, Lie to Me), Matthew Gross (Across the Universe, Body of Proof), Edouard de Vésinne, Thomas Anargyros and Alex Graves (Game of Thrones, The West Wing) who directed the pilot episode.

Tom Tykwer & Johnny Klimek Scoring ‘Babylon Berlin’

Tom Tykwer and Johnny Klimek are composing the original music for the upcoming German television series Babylon Berlin. The show is directed by Tykwer and stars Volker Bruch, Liv Lisa Fries, Matthias Brandt, Hannah Herzsprung, Karl Markovics, Lars Eidinger and Sebastian Urzen. The drama is based on Volker Kutscher’s book Der nasse Fisch and follows young police inspector Gereon Rath in 1929 Berlin, a hotbed of politics, art, extremism, drugs and murder. The series is produced by Sky Deutschland, ARD Degeto, X Filme and Beta Film.

‘Poldark’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Announced

Sony Classical will release a deluxe edition soundtrack for the BBC original series Poldark. The album features the show’s original music composed by Anne Dudley (The Full Monty, Black Book, Elle, American History X), including the content of the first soundtrack album for the drama, which was released last year, as well as a new performance of the Poldark theme performed by pianist Lang Lang. Also included are two newly recorded folk songs performed by actress Eleanor Tomlinson that feature in key moments during the series, and a 5-minute suite of the most popular themes from the series. The soundtrack will be released on September 16, 2016.

Cristobal Tapia de Veer is composing the music for the upcoming BBC America original series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency. The show is developed by Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra) and stars Samuel Barnett, Elijah Wood, Hannah Marks, Jade Eshete, Mpho Koaho, Fiona Dourif, Michael Eklund, Miguel Sandoval, Dustin Milligan, Aaron Douglas, Neil Brown Jr. and Richard Schiff. The comedic thriller is based on Douglas Adams’ novel of the same name and follows the bizarre adventures of eccentric “holistic” detective Dirk Gently and his reluctant assistant Todd, as they wend their way through one big, seemingly insane mystery.

Premiering on Tuesday, August 23, is the new NBC reality series Better Late Than Never executive produced by Henry Winkler, Craig Zadan & Neil Meron, Jason Ehrlich, Stephanie Chambers, Alex Katz and Tim Crescenti. The show’s original music is composed by David Schwartz (Arrested Development, Northern Exposure, Lady Dynamite). The series follows Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw, George Foreman and Jeff Dye as they travel to Tokyo, Kyoto, Seoul, Hong Kong, Phuket and Chiang Mai. Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, August 24, is the Italian crime drama series Gomorrah developed by Giovanni Bianconi, Stefano Bises, Leonardo Fasoli, Ludovica Rampoldi & Roberto Saviano inspired by Matteo Garrone’s 2008 feature film and starring Marco D’Amore and Fortunato Cerlino. Mokadelic has composed the show’s original music. Goodfellas Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the music from the drama. Chris Bacon to Score ABC’s ‘When We Rise’

Chris Bacon has revealed in a recent interview with TV Goodness that he is currently scoring the upcoming ABC mini-series When We Rise. The show is created by Dustin Lance Black (Milk, J. Edgar) and stars Guy Pearce, Mary Louise Parker, Rosie O’Donnell, Michael K. Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Rachel Griffiths, Dylan Walsh, Kevin McHale and Ivory Aquino. The period drama tells the history of the gay rights movement, starting with the Stonewall Riots in 1969. Black is also executive producing the ABC Studios production with Larry Mark (Jerry Maguire, I, Robot) and Bruce Cohen (American Beauty, Silver Linings Playbook, Big Fish). Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) is directing the first two episodes and Black, Dee Rees (Bessie, Pariah) and Thomas Schlamme (The West Wing) are directing the other episodes of the 8-part series.
