20th Century Fox TV Records will release a soundtrack album for the FX original series The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Emmy Award winner Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, Scream Queens) who previously composed the music for the first American Crime Story season, The People v. O.J. Simpson. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 16 and will be available to download on Amazon. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story is developed by Tom Rob Smith, executive produced by Ryan Murphy and stars Darren Criss, Edgar Ramírez, Penelope Cruz and Ricky Martin.

Soundtrack Album for ‘Jessica Jones’ Season 2 to Be Released
Marvel Music and Hollywood Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Jessica Jones. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Sean Callery (24, Homeland, Marvel’s Inhumans, Designated Survivor, Bones), as well as a new version of the composer’s main title theme, for which he received his fourth Emmy Award in 2016. Also included is the song I Want Your Cray Cray performed by Rachel Taylor & Kandi Marks. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 16 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the composer’s score from the first season.
Daniel Pemberton Scoring Darren Aronofsky’s ‘One Strange Rock’ Series
Daniel Pemberton (Steve Jobs, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Molly’s Game, All the Money in the World, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword) has announced on Twitter that he has scored the new National Geographic docu-series One Strange Rock. The show is executive produced by Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain) & Jane Root, hosted by Will Smith and tells the extraordinary story of Earth, told from the only people who have ever left it: astronauts. The 10-part series, which was filmed across 45 countries, on six continents and from outer space, reveals the twists of fate that have allowed life to emerge, survive and thrive on Earth.
Blake Neely to Score Lifetime’s ‘You’
Blake Neely has been hired to score the upcoming Lifetime original series You. The show is created by Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon, Everwood, Life As We Know It) & Sera Gamble (The Magicians) and stars Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail, Shay Mitchell, Zach Cherry, Luca Padovan, as well as John Stamos, Michael Maize and Ambyr Childers who will appear in recurring roles. The drama is based on based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same title and tells the story of a bookstore employee who becomes obsessed with one of his customers and faces the question: How far will he go for love?. Berlanti is also executive producing the project with Sarah Schechter (Black Lightning), Leslie Morgenstein (Pretty Little Liars) and Gina Girolamo (The 100).
Soundtrack Album for AMC’s ‘Into the Badlands’ to Be Released
Varese Sarabande will release the first soundtrack album for the AMC original series Into the Badlands. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by David Shephard (Longmire). Also included is the main title theme by Warrior Blade. The soundtrack will be released physically on April 20, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Into the Badlands is created by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar (Smallville) and stars Daniel Wu, Marton Csokas, Aramis Knight, Emily Beecham, Sarah Bolger and Orla Brady. The drama is loosely based on the classic Chinese tale Journey to the Westand and tells the story of a ruthless, well-trained warrior and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment.
Ryan Elder & Ben Bromfield Scoring DreamWorks Animation’s ‘The Boss Baby: Back in Business’
Ryan Elder (Rick and Morty, Harmontown) and Ben Bromfield are scoring DreamWorks Animation’s upcoming Netflix series The Boss Baby: Back in Business. The show is based on last year’s Academy Award-nominated animated feature (scored by Hans Zimmer & Steve Mazzaro) and features the voices of JP Karliak, Pierce Gagnon and Kevin Michael Richardson. The series follows the title character as he tries to balance family life with his job at Baby Corp headquarters. Brandon Sawyer (Penguins of Madagascar) is executive producing the project.
‘This Is Us’ Season 2 Soundtrack to Be Released
Universal Music will release a new soundtrack album for the NBC hit drama This Is Us. The album features a selection of songs from the show’s second season, including Grey Reverend’s Watch Me cover, Chrissy Metz’s cover of Landslide, the original song Where I Belong performed by Hannah Zeile and written by Elise Davis & the series’ composer Siddhartha Khosla, Hannah Miller’s cover of Beauty and Pain, Taylor Goldsmith’s cover of Jackson Browne’s These Days and Goldspot’s rendition of I Got You Babe. Also included are songs by Elton John, José González, Cat Stevens, Billie Holiday & more. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 13 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring the songs from the first season, as well as an album featuring Khosla’s original score.

Premiering tonight is the new ABC drama Deception created by Chris Fedak and starring Jack Cutmore-Scott, Ilfenesh Hadera, Amaury Nolasco, Lenora Crichlow, Justin Chon, Vinnie Jones and Laila Robins. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Riverdale, Life As We Know It, The Pacific) and Nathan Blume (The Seventies, Vixen). Soundtrack Album for Netflix/BBC Series ‘Troy: Fall of a City’ to Be Released
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the BBC and Netflix mini-series Troy: Fall of a City. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Rob (aka Robin Coudert) (Maniac, Horns, Populaire, Every Secret Thing, Amityville: The Awakening). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 16, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is coming out overseas a few weeks later and will be available to order as an import here. Troy: Fall of a City is created by David Farr (The Night Manager, Hanna) and stars Louis Hunter, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Christian Schoombie, David Gysai, David Threlfall, Lex King, Bella Dayne and Frances O’Connor.
First Songs from NBC’s ‘Rise’ to Be Released
Atlantic Records will release the songs from the new NBC musical drama Rise. Coming out tomorrow are the first couple of tracks from the premiere episode, including I Believe and Spring Awakening Montage performed by the show’s cast, Football Freestyle performed by Damon J. Gillespie, Glorious performed by Auli’i Cravalho & Gillespie and Just Breathe performed by Ellie Desautels. New songs are expected to be released weekly as the series’ first season airs every Tuesday night. Rise is created by Jason Katims and stars Josh Radnor, Rosie Perez, Auli”i Cravalho, Damon J.
