Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi anthology series Philip K. Dick’s Electric Dreams. The album features the music from the series, including the main title theme composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Martian, The Chronicles of Narnia), as well as the composer’s score for the episodes The Commuter (for which he received an Emmy Award nomination) and The Father Thing. Also included is the music for three episodes composed by Bear McCreary (The Walking Dead, 10 Cloverfield Lane), two episodes by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia), one episode by Ólafur Arnalds (Broadchurch), as well as two episodes by Mark Isham (Crash, A River Runs Through It), one of which he co-scored with BT (The Fast & the Furious, Monster). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (October 28, 2018)
Premiering on Wednesday, October 31 is the new CBS All Access original series Tell Me a Story created by Kevin Williamson and starring James Wolk, Billy Magnussen, Dania Ramirez, Danielle Campbell, Paul Wesley and Kim Cattrall. The show’s original music is composed by John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, Dante’s Peak, Office Space, The Following, Beavis and Butthead Do America) Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the series, which will premiere on Halloween with a new episode dropping every week.
Premiering on Friday, November 2 is the new Amazon original series Homecoming created by Eli Horowitz & Micah Bloomberg, directed by Sam Esmail and starring Julia Roberts, Bobby Cannavale, Stephan James, Shea Whigham, Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, Sissy Spacek, Dermot Mulroney, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Hong Chau. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Maggie Phillips serves as the project’s music supervisor. The full first season of the show, which follows a caseworker who helps soldiers transition back to civilian life, will be available to stream on Friday on Amazon Prime.
BBC’s & AMC’s ‘The Little Drummer Girl’ to Feature Music by Cho Young Wuk & The Soundtrackings
Cho Young Wuk (aka Yeong-wook Jo) & The Soundtrackings have composed the original music for the new BBC/AMC mini-series The Little Drummer Girl. The show is directed by Chan-woon Park (Stoker) and stars Florence Pugh, Alexander Skarsgård, Michael Shannon, Clare Holman, Kate Sumpter, Charles Dance, Simona Brown and Max Irons. The 6-parter thriller based on John le Carré’s best-selling novel of the same name is set in the late 1970s and follows a fiery actress and idealist whose resolve is tested after she meets a mysterious man while on holiday in Greece.
‘Deutschland 86’ Score Album Released
BMG has released a soundtrack album for the German TV series Deutschland 86. The album features selections of the original score from the show composed by Golden Globe nominee Reinhold Heil (Cloud Atlas, Run Lola Run, The International, One Hour Photo, Berlin Station). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Deutschland 86 is created by Anna Winger & Jörg Winger and stars Jonas Nay, Maria Schrader, Sylvester Groth, Sonja Gerhardt, Ludwig Trepte and Alexander Beyer. The drama is the sequel to 2015’s Deutschland 83 (which Heil also scored) and follows Martin Rauch – Long banished to AFRICA for his sins in 1983 – as he is called back into the field.
Soundtrack Album for ‘The Last Kingdom’ to Be Released
Sony Classical will release the first soundtrack album for the British historical drama series The Last Kingdom. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner John Lunn (Downton Abbey, The White Queen, The White Princess, Jamestown) and Eivør. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 9, 2018 (click here to pre-order). A CD version coming out on November 23 and will be available to pre-order as an import on Amazon within the next couple of days. The Last Kingdom is based on The Saxon Stories novels by Bernard Cornwell and stars Alexander Dreymon, David Dawson, Emily Cox, Ian Hart, Tobias Santelmann, Simon Kunz and Joseph Millson.
‘My Dinner with Hervé’ Soundtrack Released
ABKCO Records has released a soundtrack album for the HBO original movie My Dinner with Hervé. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Norland (Anvil! The Story of Anvil, November Criminals). The soundtrack is now available to stream on Apple Music and is expected to be available to download on Amazon soon. My Dinner with Hervé is directed by Sacha Gervasi and stars Peter Dinklage, Jamie Dornan, Andy Garcia, Mireille Enos, Oona Chaplin, Harriet Walter and David Strathairn. The drama explores the unlikely friendship between struggling journalist Danny Tate and French actor Hervé Villechaize.
Adam Taylor Scoring Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’
Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale, Before I Fall, I Think We’re Alone Now) has composed the original score for the first season of the new Netflix original series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. The show is developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Riverdale) and stars Kiernan Shipka, Ross Lynch, Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Chance Perdomo, Jaz Sinclair, Richard Coyle, Tati Gabrielle and Bronson Pinchot. The series is based on Aguirre-Sacasa’s comic book series of the same title and finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature – half-witch, half-mortal – while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.
Martin Phipps to Score ‘The Crown’ Season 3
Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, Victoria, Harry Brown, War & Peace) is the new composer of the Netflix original series The Crown. The composer is scoring the third season of the show, which stars Olivia Colman as Queen Elizabeth II, Marion Bailey as Queen Mother, Tobias Menzies as the queen’s husband, Prince Philip, Helena Bonham Carter as the queen’s sister, Princess Margaret, Ben Daniels as Antony Armstrong-Jones, Erin Doherty as Princess Anne, Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles and Emerald Fennell as Camilla Parker Bowles. The new season covers takes place right after the events from Season 2 and will cover the period of 1964 through the early 1970s.

Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC drama Bodyguard. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Ruth Barrett (Victoria, Harry Brown, Collateral, Toast, Hunted) and Ruskin Williamson. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Bodyguard is created by Jed Mercurio and stars Richard Madden, Keeley Hawes, Gina McKee, Sophie Rundle, Vincent Franklin and Rowena King. The drama revolves around a war veteran, who, after helping thwart a terrorist attact, is assigned to protect a politician who was a main proponent of the very conflict he fought in.

John Frizzell is scoring the new CBS All Access original series Tell Me a Story.
