WaterTower Music will release the first two soundtrack albums for the DC Universe animated series Harley Quinn. The albums feature selections of the original music from the first two seasons of the show composed by Jefferson Friedman (Powerless, New Amsterdam). Harley Quinn is developed by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker & Dean Lorey based on the DC Comics character created by Paul Dini & Bruce Timm and features the voices of Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Ron Funches, Tony Hale, Jason Alexander, J. B. Smoove and Alan Tudyk. The Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment production follows Harley as she breaks things off with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal “queenpin” of Gotham City.

Soundtrack Album for BBC’s & Starz’s ‘Dublin Murders’ Released
Needlewood Records has released a soundtrack album for the BBC and Starz crime drama Dublin Murders. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Academy Award nominee Volker Bertelmann (Lion, Adrift, Hotel Mumbai, Patrick Melrose, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Gunpowder). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Dublin Murders developed by Sarah Phelps based on Tana French’s first two novels in the Dublin Murder Squad book series and stars Killian Scott, Sarah Greene, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Moe Dunford, Jonny Holden, Leah McNamara, Ian Kenny, Eugene O’Hare, Conleth Hill and Peter McDonald. The crime drama follows a smart-suited detective who is dispatched to investigate the murder of a young girl on the outskirts of Dublin with his partner.
Blake Neely to Score HBO Max’s ‘The Flight Attendant’
Blake Neely has been tapped to score the upcoming HBO Max limited series The Flight Attendant. The show is developed by Steve Yockey based on the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian and stars Kaley Cuoco, Michiel Huisman, Colin Woodell, Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet, Merle Dandridge, Michelle Gomez and Griffin Matthews. The comedic thriller revolves around a flight attendant who wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened. Cuoco & Yockey are also executive producing the Warner Horizon Television production with Greg Berlanti (Love, Simon, Green Lantern), Marcie Ulin & Meredith Lavender (Nashville), Sarah Schechter (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Stargirl) and Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me) who also directed the first two episodes.
‘Ted Lasso’ Theme Song Released
Warner Bros. Entertainment has released the theme song of the new Apple TV+ original series Ted Lasso. The theme is written by the show’s composers Marcus Mumford (of Mumford & Sons) & Tom Howe (A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women, Early Man) and is now available to stream/download as a digital single on Apple Music. Ted Lasso is created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Joe Kelly & Brendan Hunt based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports and stars Sudeikis himself, Hannah Waddingham, Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein and Nick Mohammed.
Alexandra Harwood Scoring Channel 5’s & PBS’ ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Reboot
Alexandra Harwood (The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, The Escape, Growing Up Wild) is scoring the upcoming Channel 5 and PBS Masterpiece series All Creatures Great and Small. The show is based on James Herriot’s iconic collection of stories about a group of country veterinarians in 1930s rural England that was previously turned into a British TV series that ran between 1978 and 1990 on BBC. The reboot’s cast includes Nicholas Ralph, Samuel West, Anna Madeley, Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon and Rachel Shenton. Ben Vanstone (The English Game) serves as the lead writer and Brian Percival (Downton Abbey, The Book Thief) is lead director.
Mac Quayle Scoring HBO’s ‘The Vow’
Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, The Politician) has composed the original music for the new HBO docu-series The Vow. The show is directed by Jehane Noujaim & Karim Amer (The Square, The Great Hack) and examines the self-improvement group NXIVM, whose leaders have been charged with sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The 9-parter takes a look at the organization faced with various charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, against its highest members – most notably founder Keith Raniere, who was convicted in June 2019 and is currently awaiting sentencing.

Premiering tonight is the HBO original series Lovecraft Country developed by Misha Green, executive produced by Jordan Peele & J.J. Abrams and starring Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, Aunjanue Ellis, Abbey Lee, Jada Harris, Wunmi Mosaku and Michael Kenneth Williams. The show’s original music is composed by Laura Karpman (Step, Set It Up, Taken, Why We Hate) and Raphael Saadiq (Insecure, Black Nativity, The After Party). Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, August 18, is the British comedy Dead Pixels created by Jon Brown and starring Alexa Davies, Will Merrick, Sargon Yeld, Charlotte Ritchie, David Mumeni and Noush Skaugen. Andrew Barnabas & Paul Arnold (The Hatton Garden Job, Stoner Express, Primal, My Brother Is a Dog) are composing the show’s original music. The series, which, premiered last year in the UK on E4 and will debut in the U.S. on The CW. The comedy, which follows a group of friends who are obsessed with the online fantasy game “Kingdom Scrolls,” has already been renewed for a second season and will air every Tuesday night.

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for Maine, the fifth episode of the Apple TV+ docu-series Home. The album features the original music from the episode composed by Amanda Jones (Twenties, Cherish the Day) who has received her first Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her work on the project. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, Apple Music and other music stores. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring selections of the music from all episodes of the show. Maine directed by Scott Weintrob premiered this past April as part of Home, which looks inside the world’s most innovative homes and unveils the imagination of the visionaries who dared to dream and build them.

The album features the composer’s score from the 4-parter, which recently received two News & Documentary Emmy Award nominations. Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Big Hero 6, Wreck-It-Ralph) has recently been scoring the upcoming Showtime limited series The Comey Rule. The political drama is written and directed by Billy Ray (Breach, Captain Phillips) and stars Jeff Daniels as former FBI Director James Comey and Brendan Gleeson as President Donald J. Trump, as well as Holly Hunter, Michael Kelly, Jennifer Ehle, Scoot McNairy, Jonathan Banks, Oona Chaplin, Amy Seimetz, Steven Pasquale, Peter Coyote and Kingsley Ben-Adir.
