Laura Karpman (Step, Set It Up, Why We Hate) & Raphael Saadiq (Insecure, Black Nativity) are the composers of the new HBO original series Lovecraft Country. The show is developed by Misha Green based on Matt Ruff ‘s novel of the same title and stars Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, Aunjanue Ellis, Abbey Lee, Jada Harris, Wunmi Mosaku and Michael Kenneth Williams, as well as recurring guests Courtney B. Vance, Jamie Chung, Jamie Neumann, Jordan Patrick Smith and Tony Goldwyn. The horror drama follows Atticus Freeman as he journeys with his childhood friend and his uncle on a road trip from Chicago across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father.

‘Greenleaf’ Season 5 Soundtrack EP Released
Lionsgate Records has released a new soundtrack EP for the OWN original series Greenleaf. The 3-track EP features the songs What a Mighty God We Serve performed by Deborah Joy Winans, If I Can Help Somebody by Winans, Lamman Rucker, Desiree Ross & Merle Dandridge, as well as Goin’ Up Yonder by Tramaine Hawkins from the show’s fifth and final season. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here. Listen to all three songs after the jump. The label has previously released a full soundtrack album featuring the songs from Season 3 and RCA Inspiration/Malaco Records have released two soundtrack albums featuring the music from Season 1 & 2. First Soundtrack Album for TBS/Adult Swim’s ‘Final Space’ to Be Released
WaterTower Music will release the first soundtrack album for the TBS/Adult Swim animated series Final Space. The album features the original music from the show’s first season composed by Shelby Merry, Jake Sidwell and Andrew Goodwin. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. Final Space is created by Olan Rogers and features the voices of Rogers himself, Fred Armisen, Tom Kenny, David Tennant, Tika Sumpter, Steven Yeun, Coty Galloway, Caleb McLaughlin, Ron Perlman, John DiMaggio, Gina Torres, Shannon Purser, Keith David, Andy Richter, Conan O’Brien, Ashly Burch, Claudia Black, Ron Funches and Jane Lynch.
Jeff Russo to Score Amazon’s ‘Utopia’
Jeff Russo (Fargo, Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, Legion, The Night Of, The Umbrella Academy) has been hired to score the upcoming Amazon original series Utopia. The show is developed by Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl, Sharp Objects) based on Dennis Kelly’s Channel 4 series and stars Sasha Lane, Rainn Wilson, Dan Byrd, Javon Walton, Cory Michael Smith, Ashleigh LaThrop, Desmin Borges, Jessica Rothe, Farrah Mackenzie, Christopher Denham, Jeanine Serralle and John Cusack. Flynn and Kelly are also executive producing the Amazon Studios and Jessica Rhoades. follows a group of young adults who meet online that are mercilessly hunted by a shadowy deep state organization after they come into possession of a near-mythical cult underground graphic novel.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British series We Hunt Together written by Gaby Hull and starring Babou Ceesay, Hermione Corfield, Eve Myles, Dipo Ola, Kamara Abraham and Freya Durkan. The show’s original music is composed by Jon Opstad (Black Mirror: White Bear & White Christmas, Silent Witness, The Woman in White). The 6-parter follows two detectives as they try to outsmart a pair of killers, one a former child soldier and the other a magnetic and disarmingly charming free spirit. Premiering on Friday, August 14 is the family comedy Magic Camp directed by Mark Waters and starring Adam Devine, Gillian Jacobs, Jeffrey Tambor, Nathaniel McIntyre, Cole Sand, Izabella Alverez, Isabella Crovetti, J.J. Tom Howe & Marcus Mumford Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘Ted Lasso’
Tom Howe (A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon, Early Man, Professor Marston & the Wonder Women) and Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons have teamed up to score the new Apple TV+ original series Ted Lasso. The show is created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence (Scrubs, Cougar Town), Joe Kelly (Detroiters) & Brendan Hunt based on the pre-existing format and characters from NBC Sports and stars Sudeikis himself, alongside Hannah Waddingham, Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein and Nick Mohammed. The comedy revolves around a small-time college football coach from Kansas who gets hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer.
Soundtrack Album for ‘The Head’ TV Series to Be Released
Globomedia will release a soundtrack album for the international survival thriller series The Head. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Federico Jusid (The Secret in Their Eyes, Kidnap, Watership Down, Life Itself, Loving Pablo, Misconduct). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, August 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Head is created by Àlex Pastor & David Pastor and stars Tomohisa Yamashita, John Lynch, Katherine O’Donnelly, Alexandre Willaume, Laura Bach, Sandra Andreis, Amelia Hoy, Chris Reilly, Richard Sammel and Tom Lawrence. Roque Banos Scoring HBO Europe’s ’30 Coins’ (’30 Monedas’)
Roque Banos (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead, The Machinist, In the Heart of the Sea, Sexy Beast) is the composer of HBO Europe’s upcoming horror series 30 Coins (30 Monedas). The show is directed by Álex de la Iglesia (The Day of the Beast, Witching and Bitching) and stars Eduard Fernández, Megan Montaner, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Macarena Gómez, Pepón Nieto and Manolo Solo. The series revolves around an exorcist, boxer and ex-convict, who is exiled by the church to a remote town in Spain, where a series of paranormal events expose his past and unravel a conspiracy that will lead straight to the heart of the Vatican.
‘Gotham’ Season 2, 3, 4 & 5 Soundtrack Albums Released
Composer David Russo (Pennyworth, Nikita, The Tomorrow People) has released four new soundtrack albums for the Fox drama Gotham. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s second, third, fourth and fifth season. The Season 2, Season 3, Season 4 and Season 5 albums are now available to stream/download on Amazon, Apple Music and other digital music stores/services. WaterTower Music has previously released a soundtrack album featuring Russo’s & Graeme Revell’s score from the first season in 2018. Gotham developed by Bruno Heller based on the DC Comics characters and starring Ben McKenzie, Donal Logue,David Mazouz, Sean Pertwee, Zabryna Guevara, Robin Lord Taylor and Erin Richards premiered on between 2014 and 2019 on Fox.
Ben Frost Scoring HBO Max’s ‘Raised by Wolves’
Ben Frost (Dark, Sleeping Beauty, Fortitude, Super Dark Times) has composed the original score for the upcoming HBO Max original series Raised by Wolves. The show is created by Aaron Guzikowski (Prisoners, The Red Road) and stars Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Jordan Loughran, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Aasiya Shah, Ivy Wong and Travis Fimmel. The sci-fi drama centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. Ridley Scott (Alien, Gladiator) has directed the first two episodes.
