Torin Borrowdale (Searching, Locke & Key, Run, The Toll) has recently been scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Five Days at Memorial. The show is created by John Ridley (12 Years a Slave, American Crime) & Carlton Cuse (Lost, Nash Bridges) and stars Vera Farmiga, Cherry Jones, Adepero Oduye, Julie Ann Emery, Joe Carroll, Cornelius Smith Jr., Michael Gaston and Molly Hager. The drama is based on the novel of the same title by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Sheri Fink and chronicles the first five days in a New Orleans hospital after Hurricane Katrina made landfall when exhausted caregivers were forced to make life-and-death decisions that haunted them for years to come.

‘Locke & Key’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Details
Maisie Music Publishing will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Locke & Key. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Torin Borrowdale (Searching, Run, Spring). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 22 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an album featuring the composer’s music from the first season last year. Locke & Key is developed by Carlton Cuse, Meredith Averill & Aron Eli Coleite based on Joe Hill’s comic book series of the same title and stars Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Griffin Gluck, Laysla De Oliveira and Petrice Jones.

Opening in theaters nationwide today is the action thriller Nobody directed by Ilya Naishuller and starring Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, RZA, Aleksey Serebryakov and Christopher Lloyd. The film’s original music is composed by David Buckley (Angel Has Fallen, Jason Bourne, The Good Wife, Papillon, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Nice Guys, Unhinged). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last Friday. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the British period thriller Six Minutes to Midnight directed by Andy Goddard and starring Eddie Izzard, Judi Dench, Carla Juri, James D’Arcy, Jim Broadbent and Celyn Jones. Marc Streitenfeld (Prometheus, Robin Hood, American Gangster, The Grey, Body of Lies) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. ‘Run’ Soundtrack Album Details
Lionsgate Records will release a soundtrack album for the Hulu original film Run. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Torin Borrowdale (Searching, Locke & Key, Spring). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 20 and will be available to stream/download here. Run is directed by Aneesh Chaganty and stars Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen. The movie co-written by Chaganty & Sev Ohanian follows a teenage girl whose mother who has raised her in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, and whose life begins to unravel as she discovers her mother’s sinister secret.

Premiering tonight is the Showtime docu-series The Reagans directed and executive produced by Matt Tyrnauer about the rise and reign of America’s ultimate power couple, Ronald & Nancy Reagan. The show’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, The LEGO Batman Movie, His Dark Materials, The Crown, Home, Bad Boys for Life) who previously scored Tyrnauer’s features Studio 54 and Where’s My Roy Cohn?. Premiering on Wednesday, November 18, is the documentary Crazy, Not Insane directed and produced by Alex Gibney about Dr. Dorothy Otnow Lewis, a psychiatrist who has dedicated her career to studying murderers and seeking answers as to why people kill. Will Bates (Unbelievable, Away, I Origins, The Magicians, The Looming Tower, Nightflyers) who has previously scored numerous of Gibney’s documentaries has composed the film’s original music. The movie, which premiered at this year’s Copenhagen International Documentary Festival and also screened at the 2020 Venice Film Festival will debut in the U.S. exclusively on HBO and HBO Max.

Also premiering tomorrow is the HBO docu-series McMillions directed by James Lee Hernandez & Brian Lazarte and executive produced by Mark Wahlberg. The 6-parter, which centers on the con that allowed one man to rig the results of McDonald’s popular Monopoly game for an entire decade, will air every Monday night on HBO. Torin Borrowdale (Searching) has been tapped to score the upcoming Netflix original series Locke & Key. The show is created by Joe Hill (NOS4A2, Horns) based on the comic book franchise he co-created with Gabriel Rodriguez and stars Jackson Robert Scott, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Sherri Saum, Griffin Gluck, Darby Stanchfield, Laysla De Oliveira, Petrice Jones and Thomas Mitchell Barnet. The fantasy horror drama revolves around three siblings who, after the gruesome murder of their father, move to their ancestral home in Massachusetts only to find the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities.
Torin Borrowdale to Reteam with Aneesh Chaganty on ‘Run’
Torin Borrowdale is reteaming with director Aneesh Chaganty on the upcoming thriller Run. The film starring Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen centers on the mother of a teenage girl who has been raised in total isolation and whose life begins to unravel as she discovers her mother’s sinister secret. Chaganty also co-wrote the screenplay with Sev Ohanian (The Intervention, Take Me) who is producing the project with Natalie Qasabian (All About Nina, Duck Butter). Borrowdale has previously scored Chaganty’s first feature Searching, which opened in theaters last summer.

Opening in most theaters is the comedy The Happytime Murders directed by Brian Henson and starring Melissa McCarthy, Maya Rudolph, Joel McHale and Elizabeth Banks. The film’s original music is composed by Christopher Lennertz (Horrible Bosses, Lost in Space, Ride Along, Agent Carter, Sausage Party). No soundtrack album has been announced yet.
