La-La Land Records will release the a soundtrack album for the CW hit series The Flash. The album features selections from the show’s original music of the first season composed by Blake Neely (Arrow, Supergirl, The Mentalist, Everwood). The soundtrack will be released physically as a 2-CD set on October 16, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital version is expected to be released by WaterTower Music. The Flash is based on the DC Comics character and stars Grant Gustin as scientist Barry Allen who is given the power of super speed that transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive, known as The Flash.

Premiering on Monday, August 3, is the new comedy Significant Mother created by Erin Cardillo & Richard Keith and starring Josh Zuckerman, Krista Allen, Nathaniel Buzolic, Jonathan Silverman, Emma Fitzpatrick, Jay Ali. The show’s original music is composed by Brian H. Kim (Hello My Name is Doris, Star vs. The Forces of Evil). Significant Mother follows a Portland restaurateur whose world is turned upside down when he comes back from a business trip to find out that his best friend and roommate is now dating his newly single mother. The CW’s ‘Containment’ to Feature Music by Michael Suby
Michael Suby is set to score the upcoming CW series Containment. The show is created by Julie Plec based on the Belgian TV series Cordon and stars David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood, Hanna Mangan-Lawrence, Kristen Gutoskie, George Young, Claudia Black and Trevor St. John. The drama takes place after a mysterious and deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta and a vast urban quarantine is quickly enforced, forcing those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives. Plec is also executive producing the Warner Bros TV, My So-Called Company and Eyeworks production with David Nutter (The X-Files, Game of Thrones, Disturbing Behavior) who also directed the pilot episode.

Premiering tonight is the Lifetime original movie Seeds of Yesterday directed by Shawn Ku (Beautiful Boy) and starring Rachael Carpani, James Maslow, Jason Lewis, Sammi Hanratty, Anthony Konechny, Leah Gibson and Nikohl Boosheri. The film’s original movie is composed by Douglas Pipes (Monster House, Trick ‘r’ Treat). Seeds of Yesterday is the final installment in the Dollananger series based on V.C. Andrews’ best- selling book series following Flowers in the Attic and Petals of the Wind, which were both scored by Mario Grigorov, and If There Be Thorns, which was scored by Pipes and premiered on Lifetime last Sunday. Premiering tomorrow, April 13, is the second season of AMC’s Turn: Washington’s Spies created by Craig Silverstein and starring Jamie Bell, Seth Numrich, Daniel Henshall, Heather Lind, Meegan Warner, Kevin R. McNally, Burn Gorman, Angus Macfadyen, JJ Feild, Samuel Roukin and Ian Kahn. Marco Beltrami (Scream, World War Z, The Wolverine, The Hurt Locker) who previously scored last year’s first season returns and is now sharing co-composer credit with Brandon Roberts who wrote additional music for the first season. The show’s original music is composed by Siddhartha Khosla. The Royals follows a modern-day monarch and head of a fictional British royal family living in the public eye. The CW’s ‘The Messengers’ to Feature Music by Paul Haslinger
Paul Haslinger is composing the score for the upcoming CW drama The Messengers. The show is created by Eoghan O’Donnell and stars Shantel VanSanten, Jon Fletcher, Sofia Black-D’Elia, JD Pardo, Joel Courtney, Anna Diop and Diogo Morgado. The series takes place after a mysterious object crashes down to earth and follows a group of seemingly unconnected strangers who die from the energy pulse, but then awaken to learn that they have been deemed responsible for preventing the impending Apocalypse. Trey Callaway (Revolution, CSI: NY) and Basil Iwanyk (The Town, Clash of the Titans, John Wick) are producing the CBS Television Studios, Warner Bros. Entertainment and Thunder Road Pictures production.
Songs from The CW’s ‘Supernatural’ Musical Episode ‘Fan Fiction’ Released
WaterTower Music has released a single featuring three songs from the Supernatural musical episode Fan Fiction. The songs are written by the show’s composers Christopher Lennertz and Jay Gruska and performed by cast members Alyssa Lynch, Katie Sarife, Vivien Armour, Kelli Ogmundson, Rachel Warkentin and Nina Winkler. ‘Supernatural’ Musical Episode ‘Fan Fiction’ to Feature Songs by Christopher Lennertz & Jay Gruska
Christopher Lennertz and Jay Gruska have composed the original songs for the 200th episode of The CW hit series Supernatural. The special musical episode entitled Fan Fiction follows Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) as they investigate the disappearance of a high school teacher and are stunned to discover that the school is putting on a musical based on their lives. One of the show’s writers Robert Thompson wrote the lyrics to accompany the composers’ music. Original songs include The Boys Investigate, Supernatural, A Single Man Tear, The Road So Far, I’ll Just Wait Here Then, and an a cappella version of Carry on My Wayward Son. Lennertz and Gruska have been scoring the series since the first season.

Kevin Kiner is composing the score for the new CW drama Jane the Virgin. The show is created by Jennie Snyder Urman (Emily Owens MD) based on the Venezuelan telenovela Juana la Virgen and stars Gina Rodriguez, Andrea Navedo, Justin Baldoni, Yael Grobglas, Brett Dier, Ivonne Coll and Jaime Camil. The series follows a hard-working young Latina woman whose family tradition and a vow to save her virginity until her marriage to a detective is shattered when a doctor accidentally artificially inseminates her during a checkup. Snyder Urman is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television production with Ben Silverman (The Office, Ugly Betty, The Tudors), Gary Pearl, Jorge Granier, as well as Brad Silberling (Casper, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) who also directed the pilot episode.
