Arista Records/Sony Music have released a digital version of Road House – The Lost Soundtrack. The album features all twelve songs by The Jeff Healy Band as featured in the Rowdy Harrington’s 1989 feature starring Patrick Swayze, including eight previously unreleased tracks. Also included are seven additional songs that were recorded during the Road House sessions, but did not make the final cut of the film. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to two of the previously unreleased tracks after the jump. Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British limited series Nolly created by by Russell T. Davies & Nicola Shindler and starring Helena Bonham Carter, Augustus Prew, Mark Gatiss and Con O’Neill. The show’s original music is composed by Blair Mowat (Class, The Amazing Mr. Blunden, Doctor Jekyll, McDonald & Dodds, Men Up, Electric Man). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last March when the drama premiered in the UK on ITV. Also making its U.S. debut tonight is the British series Alice & Jack created by Victor Levin sand starring Domhnall Gleeson, Andrea Riseborough, Aimee Lou Wood, Aisling Bea and Sunil Patel. Stephen Rennicks (Room, Normal People, Frank, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande, The Quiet Girl, Conversations with Friends) has composed the show’s original music. The composer has released a soundtrack album featuring his score. Christophe Beck Scoring Doug Liman’s ‘Road House’
Composer Christophe Beck (Ant-Man, Frozen, WandaVision, Free Guy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Muppets, The Pink Panther) is reteaming with director Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith) on the upcoming action drama Road House. The remake of the Michael Kamen-scored 1989 film of the same title stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Joaquim de Almeida, Jessica Williams, Conor McGregor, Arturo Castro, Lukas Gage, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp and Darren Barnet. The movie follows an ex-UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.
Volker Bertelmann to Score Doug Liman’s ‘Road House’ Reboot
Volker Bertelmann (aka Hauschka) (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Adrift, The Old Guard, Hotel Mumbai, Patrick Melrose) has signed on to score the upcoming Amazon original movie Road House. The film is directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Edge of Tomorrow) and stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Lukas Gage, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Hannah Love Lanier, B.K. Cannon, Travis Van Winkle, Arturo Castro, Beau Knapp, Dominique Columbus and Bob Menery. The action drama is based on the 1989 feature of the same title (scored by Michael Kamen) and follows former a UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a rough roadhouse in the Florida Keys and discovers that not everything is as it seems.
Expanded ‘Road House’ Score to Be Released
La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1989 action thriller Road House directed by Rowdy Herrington and starring Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott and Kelly Lynch. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the MGM release composed and conducted by Michael Kamen (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Mr. Holland’s Opus, X-Men), including several previously unreleased alternate cues. Michael Kamen’s ‘Road House’ and ‘Renegades’ Soundtracks Released
Intrada Records has announced the release of two scores from the 80s composed by late composer Michael Kamen (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon). First up is the world premiere of the composer’s score for the 1989 action film Road House.
