Also premiering today is the HBO documentary series Chimp Crazy directed by Eric Goode and executive produced by Jeremy McBride, Goode, Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller & Tina Nguyen about the secretive world of raising chimpanzees and and the colorful and complicated cast of characters that inhabit it. Jonathan Sadoff (The Peanut Butter Falcon, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Ingrid Goes West, Dollface, Angelyne, Under the Boardwalk) has composed the show’s original music. Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, One Life, The Old Guard, Patrick Melrose, Ammonite) has been hired to score the upcoming Peacock/Sky original series The Day of the Jackal. The show is developed by Ronan Bennett (Public Enemies, Top Boy) based on the novel of the same name by Frederick Forsyth novel the 1973 film adaptation (scored by Georges Delerue) and stars Eddie Redmayne, Lashana Lynch, Úrsula Corberó, Richard Dormer, Lia Williams, Chukwudi Iwuji, Charles Dance, Khalid Abdalla, Eleanor Matsuura,Nick Blood, Jonjo O’Neill, Sule Rimi and Florisa Kamara. The thriller follows the titular lone assassin as he meets his match in a tenacious British intelligence officer who starts to track down the Jackal in a cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.

‘Those About to Die’ Soundtrack Album Details

Music.Film Recordings & Lakeshore Records will release the official soundtrack album for the Peacock original series Those About to Die. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Andrea Farri (Io Capitano, Security, The First King, The Hanging Sun, Italian Race, Latin Lover). Also included is the historical drama’s opening title theme (in two different versions) composed by French singer/songwriter Woodkid. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, July 19 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. ‘Those About to Die’ to Feature Main Title Theme by Woodkid

French singer/songwriter Woodkid has contributed the main title theme to the new Peacock original series Those About to Die. The show is based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Daniel P. Mannix and stars Iwan Rheon, Anthony Hopkins, Sara Martins, Gabriella Pession, Jojo Macari, Dimitri Leonidas, Moe Hashim, Tom Hughes,Rupert Penry-Jones, Emilio Sakraya, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, David Wurawa, Eneko Sagardoy, Pepe Barroso, Gonçalo Almeida and Romana Maggiora Vergano. The 10-part historical drama directed by Roland Emmerich & Marco Kreuzpaintner is scored by Andrea Farri and follows a group of characters from all corners of the Roman Empire who collide at the explosive intersection of sports, politics, and dynasties.

Premiering today is the MGM+ original series Emperor of Ocean Park developed by Sherman Payne based on the novel by Stephen L. Carter and starring Forest Whitaker, Keith Powers, Keith Kupferer, Kelli Simpkins and Deanna Reed-Foster. The show’s original music is composed by Amanda Jones (Moving On, Naomi, Mea Culpa, The Perfect Find, Super/Natural, Young Love, Good Trouble). The drama, which is set in Martha’s Vineyard and follows an esteemed law professor whose quiet life is shattered when his father dies of an apparent heart attack, but his sister, a former journalist and conspiracy theorist, believes that the judge met with foul play, will be available to stream exclusively on MGM+.

Premiering on Thursday, July 18, is the action comedy sequel My Spy: The Eternal City directed by Pete Segal and starring Dave Bautista, Chloe Coleman, Flula Borg, Kristen Schaal, Billy Barratt, Taeho K, Craig Robinson, Anna Faris and Ken Jeong. Sean Segal has composed the film’s original music in his feature scoring debut. ‘We Are Lady Parts’ Seasons 1 & 2 Soundtrack Album Released

Universal Music has released a new soundtrack album for the Channel 4 & Peacock original series We Are Lady Parts. The soundtrack features the songs from the first two seasons of the show performed by the titular band Lady Parts, including original tracks written by show creator Nida Manzoor, Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor & Benjamin Fregin, as well several cover versions. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Listen to some of the new songs from Season 2 below. Back Lot Music has previously released an EP featuring six songs from Season 1 back in 2021. We Are Lady Parts is created, written and directed by Manzoor and stars Anjana Vasan, Sarah Kameela Impey, Juliette Motamed, Lucie Shorthouse, Faith Omole, Aiysha Hart, Shobu Kapoor and Zaqi Ismail.

‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’ Soundtrack Album Details

Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Peacock/Sky limited series The Tattooist of Auschwitz. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Dune, Inception, Rain Man) and Kara Talve (Prehistoric Planet, Faraway Downs). Also included is the end credits song Love Will Survive written by Zimmer, Talve, Walter Afanasieff & Charlie Midnight and performed by Barbra Streisand (already available as a digital single now). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 2 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download). The Tattooist of Auschwitz is directed by Tali Shalom-Ezer and stars Harvey Keitel, Anna Próchniak, Jonah Hauer-King, Jonas Nay and Melanie Lynskey. The 6-part drama is inspired by the true story of Lale Sokolov who arrived at Auschwitz-Birkenau in 1942 and was made one of the tattooists, charged to ink identification numbers onto fellow prisoners’ arms, when he meets a woman, leading to a love that defies the horrors around them.
