Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming NBC comedy A.P. Bio. The show is created by Mike O’Brien (Saturday Night Live) and stars Glenn Howerton, Patton Oswalt, Lyric Lewis, Mary Sohn, Aparna Brielle, Jacob McCarthy and Nick Peine. The series follows a philosophy scholar who loses out on his dream job and goes to work as a high school Advanced Placement Biology teacher and uses his students to get back at the people in his life who have wronged him. O.Brien is also executive producing the Universal Television production with Lorne Michaels (30 Rock, Wayne’s World), Seth Meyers, Andrew Singer and Michael Shoemaker.

Premiering on Thursday, November 2, is the new CBS drama S.W.A.T. developed by Aaron Thomas, produced by Shawn Ryan and starring Shemar Moore, Stephanie Sigman, Alex Russell, Jay Harrington, Lina Esco, Kenny Johnson and Peter Onorati. The show’s original music is composed by Robert Duncan (Castle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Unit, Timeless). Madison Gate Records has released a digital single featuring new version of the theme from the 70s series performed by Duncan. Premiering on Friday, November 3, is the mini-series Alias Grace created Sarah Polley and starring Sarah Gadon, Anna Paquin, Zachary Levi, Paul Gross, Edward Holcroft, Kerr Logan, Rebecca Liddiard and David Cronenberg. Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, Storks, The Boondock Saints) & Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote) have composed the show’s original music. ‘Trolls Holiday’ Soundtrack Released
RCA Records has released a soundtrack album for the animated holiday special Trolls Holiday. The album features the songs from the short performed by the project’s voice cast, including Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Zooey Deschanel, James Corden, Ron Funches and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. Also included a suite from the score compose by Jeff Morrow (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples and a CD version is available to order here. Trolls Holiday directed by Joel Crawford and written by Josh Bycel & Jonathan Feneris is based on DreamWorks’ hit musical-comedy film and continues the story of the Trolls and the Bergensased.
‘The West Wing’ Soundtrack Album Released
Varese Sarabande has announced the full details of the first official soundtrack album for the NBC hit drama The West Wing. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by W.G. Snuffy Walden (Friday Night Lights, Under the Dome, Nashville) who received an Emmy Award for his main titles theme from the series. The limited edition 2-CD soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s official website. A digital version will be released by WaterTower Music. The West Wing created by Aaron Sorkin and starring Rob Lowe, Moira Kelly, Dulé Hill, Allison Janney, Richard Schiff, John Spencer, Bradley Whitford, Martin Sheen, Janel Moloney and Stockard Channing aired between 1999 and 2006 on NBC.

Toby Chu (Covert Affairs, Burn Notice, Beyond, Unforgettable, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return) is composing the show’s original music. Score Album for NBC’s ‘The Blacklist’ to Be Released
Madison Gate Records will release a score album for the NBC drama The Blacklist. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Dave Porter (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Preacher, The Disaster Artist). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, September 22, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring a number of songs from the show’s first two season back in 2015. The Blacklist is created by Jon Blokenkamp and stars James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Harry Lennix, Parminder Nagra, Amir Arison, Mozhan Marnò and Hisham Tawfiq.
Atli Orvarsson Scoring NBC’s ‘Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders’
Atli Orvarsson is scoring the new NBC mini-series Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders. The show is created by Rene Balce and stars Edie Falco, Gus Halper, Heather Graham, Josh Charles and Miles Gaston Villanueva. The 8-parter centers on the trial of Lyle and Erik Menendez who were convicted in 1996 for the murder of their parents. Dick Wolf is executive producing the Universal Television and Wolf Films production with Peter Jankowski, Arthur W. Forney and Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland) who also directed two episodes.
Soundtrack Album for NBC’s ‘This Is Us’ to Be Released
Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the NBC hit drama This Is Us. The album features a selection of songs from the series by Paul Simon, Sufjan Stevens, Stevie Wonder, Wilco, Cat Stevens, Nick Drake, Ringo Starr & more, as well as Mandy Moore’s cover of Little Feat’s Willin‘. Also included is the original song We Can Always Come Back To This performed by Brian Tyree Henry and written by the show’s composer Siddhartha Khosla & singer/songwriter Chris Pierce, a suite from Khosla’s original score from the show, as well as two tracks from the composer’s band Goldspot. The soundtrack will be released on September 15, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (CD version) and here (physical version).

The show’s original music composed by Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Antonio Sanchez (Birdman) who makes his television scoring debut on the project. NBC’s ‘Marlon’ to Feature Music by Dwayne Wayans
Dwayne Wayans is the composer of the new NBC comedy Marlon. The show is created by Christopher Moynihan & Marlon Wayans who also stars in the series with Essence Atkins, Notlim Taylor, Amir O’Neil, Bresha Webb and Diallo Riddle. The comedy is inspired by the real life of Marlon Wayans and centers on a loving (but immature) father committed to co-parenting his two kids with his very-together ex-wife. Moynihan and Wayans are also executive producing the Universal Television production with Rick Alvarez (Fifty Shades of Black, White Chicks), Michael Rotenberg (Silicon Valley, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), as well as Andy Ackerman (The New Adventures of Old Christine) who also directed the pilot episode.
