Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & Prodigy, Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, Absentia) has composed the original music for Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming Disney+ original series Dream Productions. The show is written and directed by Mike Jones (screenwriter of Soul & Luca) and features the voices of Paula Pell, Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Kensington Tallman, Alli Maki, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Phyllis Smith and Lewis Black. The series is set between the events of Pixar’s features Inside Out & Inside Out 2 and follows Riley who gets sent to Dream Productions, where acclaimed director Paula Persimmon is trying to create the next hit dream after being paired up with a smug daydream director looking to step up into the big leagues of night dreams.

The film is written and directed by Blatz and stars K.J. Apa, Eric Dane, Maia Reficco, Austin North and Edward James Olmos. The movie revolves around a young man down on his luck who seeks out his estranged father to help him pursue his dream of becoming a professional motorcycle racer.

Nami Melumad (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds & Prodigy, Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle, The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, Absentia) has recently been scoring the upcoming coming-of-age comedy Griffin in Summer. The film is written and directed by Nicholas Colia and stars Everett Blunck, Melanie Lynskey, Abby Ryder Fortson, Owen Teague and Kathryn Newton. The movie follows a 14-year-old wannabe playwright who becomes enamored with a local handyman over the course of summer vacation.

This year’s panelists include Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder) who recently scored Antoine Fuqua’s hit thriller The Equalizer 3, Anthony Willis (Promising Young Woman, How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming) whose latest project, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, will be released this November and Nami Melumad (Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle) whose current projects include the TV shows Star Trek: Strange New World & Prodigy.
‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the first soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Nami Melumad (Thor: Love and Thunder, Star Trek: Prodigy, An American Pickle,The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window, Absentia). Also included are the main title and end credit themes written by Emmy Award winner Jeff Russo (Star Trek: Discovery & Picard, Fargo, Legion). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, April 28 by Lakeshore Records (click here to stream/download). Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is created by Akiva Goldsman, Alex Kurtzman & Jenny Lumet and stars Anson Mount, Ethan Peck, Rebecca Romijn, Jess Bush, Celia Rose Gooding, Christina Chong, Melissa Navia, Bruce Horak and Babs Olusanmokun.

The film’s original music composed by Tindersticks (High Life, White Material, Bastards). No word on a soundtrack release.
