Dubois Records will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Solos. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Martin Phipps (The Crown, Woman in Gold, The Aftermath, War & Peace, The Honourable Woman, Peaky Blinders). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 21 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Solos is created by David Weil and stars Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Anthony Mackie, Uzo Aduba, Nicole Beharie, Constance Wu and Dan Stevens. The sci-fi drama explores the depths of human connection through the lens of eight remote characters.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the British mini-series Death and Nightingales adapted and directed by Allan Cubitt and starring Matthew Rhys, Jamie Dornan and Ann Skelly. The show’s original music is composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s 11, Out of Sight, Haywire, Killing Eve, Logan Lucky, Ordinary Love, Analyze That) and Gerry Diver (Pixie). The 3-part drama, which tells a story of love, betrayal and revenge set in the haunting countryside of Northern Ireland in 1885, premiered in the UK in 2018 on BBC Two (and in Ireland on RTÉ One) and is making its U.S. debut on Starz.
Also premiering tonight is the Starz original series Run the World created by Leigh Davenport and starring Bresha Webb, Amber Stevens West, Corbin Reid, Tonya Pinkins, Andrea Bordeaux, Stephen Bishop, Tosin Morohunfola, Erika Alexander, Jay Walker and Nick Sagar. Amazon’s ‘Solos’ to Feature Music by Martin Phipps
Martin Phipps (The Crown, Woman in Gold, War & Peace, The Aftermath, The Honourable Woman, Peaky Blinders) has recently been scoring the new Amazon anthology original series Solos. The show is created by David Weil (Hunters) and stars Helen Mirren, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Uzo Aduba, Anthony Mackie, Constance Wu, Dan Stevens and Nicole Beharie. The 7-part sci-fi drama explores the depths of human connection through the lens of eight remote characters. Weil is also executive producing the project with Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy, 50 Shades of Grey) and Laura Lancaster (The Expanse, The Defiant Ones).
‘The Crown’ Season 4 Soundtrack Album Details
Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Crown. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s fourth season composed by Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, War & Peace, The Honourable Woman, The Aftermath, Peaky Blinders, Harry Brown).) who previously scored Season 3, for which he received an Emmy Award nomination. The soundtrack is expected to be released digitally next week (click here to stream/download the album). A CD version is set to come out on November 20 and is now available for pre-order (as an import) on Amazon. The label has previously released three soundtrack albums featuring Rupert Gregson-Williams’ & Lorne Balfe’s music from Season 1 and Season 2 and Phipps’ score from Season 3.

Premiering on Wednesday, November 20, is Spectrum’s reboot of the 90s comedy Mad About You developed by Peter Tolan and starring Paul Reiser, Helen Hunt, Abby Quinn, Anne Ramsey, John Pankow and Richard Kind. The show’s original score is composed by Steven Argila (Basmati Blues, Wayne, Max Steel, The Thing About My Folks). Madison Gate Records has released a new version of the title song Final Frontier from the original series performed by Lyle Lovett & Kecia Lewis (click here for more information).

First Soundtrack Album for ‘Peaky Blinders’ to Be Released
Universal Music will release the first soundtrack album for the Peaky Blinders. The album features a selection of songs from the show by artists including The White Stripes, Radiohead, David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Laura Marling, Jack White & others. Also included is the series’ main title song Red Right Hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and tracks from the original score from all five seasons of the drama composed by Martin Phipps (Season 1), Paul Hartnoll (Season 2), Dickon Hinchliffe (Season 3), Antony Genn & Martin Slattery (Season 4) and Anna Calvi (Season 5). The soundtrack will be released on November 15, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

Fox Music has released a soundtrack album for the period drama The Aftermath. The album features the film’s original music composed by Martin Phipps (Woman in Gold, The Crown, Victoria, War & Peace, Brighton Rock). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The Aftermath is directed by James Kent and stars Keira Knightley, Alexander Skarsgard, Jason Clarke, Alexander Scheer, Martin Compston, Kate Phillips and Fionn O’Shea. The movie based on the novel by Rhidian Brook takes place in the aftermath of World War II and centers on a British colonel and his wife who are assigned to live in Hamburg during the post-war reconstruction.
