Joseph LoDuca is scoring the upcoming Netflix original series Disjointed. The show is created by Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men, Mom) & David Javerbaum (The Daily Show) and stars Kathy Bates, Dougie Baldwin, Elizabeth Ho, Elizabeth Alderfer, Aaron Moten and Tone Bell. The comedy revolves around a lifelong advocate for pot legalization, as she finally lives her dream as the owner of an Los Angeles cannabis dispensary and as she employs her newly graduated son and a team of young “budtenders” to help run the company.

‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande will release a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Ash vs. Evil Dead. The album features selections from the show’s original music composed by Joseph LoDuca (Evil Dead film series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Librarians). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 11, 2015, followed by a CD release on December 18. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. Premiering tomorrow, October 26, is the CBS drama Supergirl based on the DC Comics property, developed by Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler & Sarah Schechter and starring Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh. The show’s original music is composed by Blake Neely (The Flash, Arrow, Blindspot, No Ordinary Family, The Mentalist, Life As We Know It). Premiering on Tuesday, October 27, is the new ABC drama Wicked City created by Steven Baigelman and starring Ed Westwick, Erika Christensen, Jeremy Sisto, Taissa Farmiga, Gabriel Luna, Anne Winters, Karolina Wydra, Evan Ross and Jaime Ray Newman. BT (The Fast and the Furious, Monster, Driven, Go, Catch and Release) and Mike DiMattia (Betrayal) are composing the show’s original music. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the animated sequel Hotel Transylvania 2 directed by Genndy Tartakovsky and featuring the voices of Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Steve Buscemi, Molly Shannon, David Spade, Keegan-Michael Key and Mel Brooks. The film’s original music is composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (The Lego Movie, 21/22 Jump Street, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Royal Tenenbaums) who previously scored 2012’s first part in the series. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Up, Ratatouille, The Incredibles, Jurassic World, Star Trek). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. Joseph LoDuca has recently composed the music for the upcoming supernatural thriller Pay the Ghost. The film is directed by Uli Edel (The Baader Meinhof Complex, Hotel Adlon) and stars Nicolas Cage, Sarah Wayne Callies, Veronica Ferres, Jack Fulton and Elizabeth Jeanne le Roux. The movie is based on a short story by Tim Lebbon and follows a hard-working NYU English professor bucking for tenure when his 8-year-old son mysteriously vanishes from a Halloween day parade. Daniel Kay (Timber Falls) wrote the screenplay. Ian Levy, Craig Flores (Charlie Countryman) and Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Killer Joe, Good Kill) are producing the Voltage Pictures production.
‘Burying the Ex’ Score Album Details
Lakeshore Records has announced the details of the score album for the horror comedy Burying the Ex. The album features the film’s original music composed by Joseph LoDuca (The Evil Dead, Hercules, Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus, The Librarians). Also included is a track by Electroillusion. The soundtrack will be released on June 16, 2015. Check out audio clips below. The label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie. Burying the Ex is directed by Joe Dante and stars Anton Yelchin, Ashley Greene, Alexandra Daddario and Oliver Cooper. The comedy follows a normal guy whose controlling girlfriend dies in a freak accident and rises from the grave to haunt him.
‘The Librarians’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the first soundtrack release for the TNT original series The Librarians. The album features selections from the show’s original score composed by Joseph LoDuca (Xena: Warrior Princess, The Evil Dead, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Spartacus, Leverage). The soundtrack will be released on June 23, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Librarians is executive produced by Dean Devlin and stars Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Kim and John Larroquette, Noah Wyle, Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin.
Joseph LoDuca to Score Starz’s ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ TV Series
Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell revealed in a recent interview with Collider that Joseph LoDuca will be providing the score for the upcoming Starz original series Ash vs. Evil Dead. The show is the follow-up to the classic film franchise The Evil Dead and stars Bruce Campbell who will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. Lucy Lawless, Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones are c0-starring. Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, Oz: The Great and Powerful) is directing the pilot episode and is also executive producing the project with Rob Tapert (Drag Me to Hell, The Grudge), Campbell and Craig DiGregorio who will also serve as the showrunner of the project.
