Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror sequel Halloween Kills co-written and directed by David Gordon Green and starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Thomas Mann, Will Patton and Anthony Michael Hall. The film’s original music composed by John Carpenter (Assault on Precint 13, The Fog, Escape from New York), Cody Carpenter & Daniel A. Davies. Sacred Bones Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music today. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the Blumhouse production, which is being released by Universal Pictures.

Also opening wide is the historical drama The Last Duel directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Ben Affleck. Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, Kingdom of Heaven, The Martian, Mulan, Man on Fire, Chicken Run). has composed the film’s original music. Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and a song performed by Grace Davidson today. ‘Goldsmith at 20th’ Vol. IV’ & ‘Escape from L.A.’ 25th Anniversary Edition Soundtracks Announced

La-La Land Records has announced two new soundtrack albums, including the fourth volume in the label’s Goldsmith at 20th series. The album features two classic scores from 20th Century Fox productions composed by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Patton): 1973’s Ace Eli and Rodger of the Skies directed by John Erman and starring Cliff Robertson, Eric Shea & Pamela Franklin and 1970’s Tora! Tora! Tora! directed by Richard Fleischer, Toshio Masuda & Kinji Fukasaku and starring Martin Balsam, Joseph Cotten, So Yamamura, James Whitmore and E.G. Marshall. The 2-CD set features Goldsmith’s Ace Eli score in mono, as well as additional music with contributions from Alexander Courage on the first disc, and the content of La-La Land’s previous Tora! Tora! Tora! score release on the second disc.

‘Halloween Kills’ Soundtrack Album Details

Sacred Bones Records will release the official soundtrack album for the horror sequel Halloween Kills. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter & Daniel Davies who previously co-scored Blumhouse’s 2018 Halloween film. The soundtrack will be released on October 15, 2021. Click here to order the digital version. A CD version will be available to for pre-order on Amazon within the next few days and several different vinyl editions are now available to purchase on the label’s official website. A first track (Unkillable) is being released today and can be checked out after the jump. Halloween Kills is co-written and directed by David Gordon Green and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Thomas Mann and Anthony Michael Hall. The movie follows the Strode women as they join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

‘Village of the Damned’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack to Be Released

Varese Sarabande has announced a new deluxe edition soundtrack album for the 1995 sci-fi horror movie Village of the Damned directed by John Carpenter and starring Christopher Reeve, Kirstie Alley, Linda Kozlowski, Michael Paré, Mark Hamill and Meredith Salenger. The 2-CD set features the film’s original music composed by John Carpenter (Halloween, The Fog, Big Trouble in Little China, Escape from New York) himself and Kinks guitarist Dave Davies, including the original score on the first disc and the content of the 1995 original soundtrack album, plus bonus tracks on the second disc. Expanded ‘Halloween’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Sacred Bones Records will release a new soundtrack album for last year’s Halloween sequel. The album features the expanded original score from the movie composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies, including almost 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The soundtrack will be released on October 18, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has released the original soundtrack album for the movie last October. The film’s original music is composed by John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies. Sacred Bones Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Opening in limited release is the coming-of-age comedy drama Mid90s written and directed by Jonah Hill and starring Sunny Suljic, Lucas Hedges, Na-kel Smith, Gio Galicia, Ryder McLaughlin, Alexa Demie, Katherine Waterston and Olan Prenatt. Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Patriots Day) have composed the film’s original score. The album features the film’s original score composed John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies. John Carpenter Confirmed to Score David Gordon Green’s ‘Halloween’

John Carpenter confirmed in a recent interview with Billboard the he has closed a deal to score the upcoming horror sequel Halloween. David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, All the Real Girls, Stronger) is set to direct the movie, which will star Jamie Lee Curtis who will reprise her role as Laurie Strode. Judy Greer in talks to play her daughter, Karen Strode. Green also co-wrote the screenplay with Danny McBride. Jason Blum (Get Out, Split, Paranormal Activity, Insidious) is producing the project through his Blumhouse company, alongside Malek Akkad who previously produced Rob Zombie’s Halloween and its sequel.

Sacred Bones Records & the Null Corporation will release a new version of John Carpenter‘s music from the horror classic Halloween by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Gone Girl, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). The track will be released as a digital single this Friday, October 13. Visit Amazon to download the track and to listen to an audio sample. Sacred Bones will also release the album Anthology: Movie Themes 1974 – 1998, which features Carpenter’s classic themes from Assault on Precint 13, The Fog, The Thing, Escape from New York, Christine & others, newly recorded with the same collaborators that Carpenter worked with on his hit Lost Themes studio albums.
