Varese Sarabande & Music.Film Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the thriller The Burnt Orange Heresy. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, Romeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, The Bone Collector). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. The Burnt Orange Heresy is directed by Giuseppe Capotondi and stars Claes Bang, Elizabeth Debicki, Donald Sutherland and Mick Jagger. The movie is based on Charles Willeford’s noir novel and follows an ambitious art critic who steals a rare painting and becomes consumed by his own greed as the operation spins out of control.

Four new movies are opening theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi action sequel Terminator: Dark Fate directed by Tim Miller and starring Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna and Diego Boneta. The film’s original music is composed by Tom Holkenborg (aka Junkie XL) (Mad Max: Fury Road, Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel). Also opening wide is the biographical drama Harriet directed by Kasi Lemmons and starring Cynthia Erivo, Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr. and Joe Alwyn. Terence Blanchard (BlacKkKlansman, Malcolm X, Inside Man, The 25th Hour, Red Tails) has composed the film’s original music. Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, Love Actually) has recently scored the upcoming British/Australian drama Dirt Music. The film is directed by Gregor Jordan (Buffalo Soldiers, Ned Kelly, The Informers) and stars Kelly Macdonald, Garrett Hedlund, David Wenham, Julia Sarah Stone and Aaron Pedersen. The movie based on the novel of the same title by Tim Winton is set against the landscape of Western Australia and tells an impassioned tale of love and grief. Jack Thorne (Wonder, The Aeronauts) wrote the screenplay.
‘Mrs. Lowry & Son’ Soundtrack Details
Decca Gold will release a soundtrack album for the British drama Mrs. Lowry & Son. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Love Actually, Romeo + Juliet). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 27 and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Mrs. Lowry & Son is directed by Adrian Noble (The Importance of Being Earnest) and stars Timothy Spall and Vanessa Redgrave. The movie examines the relationship between British painter L.S. Lowry, who was famous for painting scenes of life in the industrial districts of North West England in the mid-20th century and his mother, Elizabeth.

Craig Armstrong’s Music for the Films of Peter Mullan to Be Released
CMA Records will release a new compilation soundtrack album featuring several scores from the films of director Peter Mullan composed by Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Love Actually, Romeo & Juliet). Among the titles included are the composer’s scores for 1998’s Orphans, 2002’s The Magdalene Sisters, 2010’s Neds, as well as his music for the shorts Good Day for the Bad Guys and Fridge. The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 9, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. All scores have previously been unreleased.

Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Love Actually, Romeo + Juliet) has been tapped to score the upcoming live-action/animated hybrid feature The One and Only Ivan. The film is directed by Thea Sharrock and stars Ariana Greenblatt, Bryan Cranston, Ramon Rodriguez, Indira Varma and Eleanor Matsuura in the live-action roles. The project’s voice cast includes Angelina Jolie, Sam Rockwell, Brooklynn Prince, Danny DeVito and Helen Mirren. The movie is based on Katherine Applegate’s 2011 book of the same title and centers on a silverback gorilla who lives in a cage in a shopping mall.

Craig Armstrong’s ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ Score to Be Released
Universal Music will release a score album for the romantic comedy sequel Bridget Jones’s Baby. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, Me Before You, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, The Incredible Hulk). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. As previously reported, a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film and two tracks from Armstrong’s score has been released last month. Bridget Jones’s Baby directed by Sharon Maguire and starring Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, Patrick Dempsey, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones and Emma Thompson is now playing in theaters nationwide.
