Mercury Records will release the official soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Bridget Jones’s Baby. The album features the songs from the film, including the original songs Still Falling for You by Ellie Goulding and Meteorite by Years & Years, as well as tracks by Ed Sheeran, Lily Allen, Annie Lennox, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Dionne Warwick & more. Also included are two cues from the movie’s original score composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Me Before You, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet). The soundtrack will be released on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bridget Jones’s Baby is directed by Sharon Maguire and stars Renée Zellweger, Colin Firth, Patrick Dempsey, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones and Emma Thompson.

Deutsche Grammophon to Release ‘Snowden’ Soundtrack
Deutsche Grammophon will release the official soundtrack for Oliver Stone’s drama Snowden. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, World Trade Center, The Incredible Hulk) and Adam Peters (Savages), as well as a remix by electronic music producer DJ Boys Noiz. The soundtrack will be released on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Snowden is co-written and directed by Stone and stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Melissa Leo, Zachary Quinto, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans and Nicolas Cage. The movie is based on the books The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena and chronicles Edward Snowden’s time in Russia hoping to get asylum while the United States was demanding his extradition.
Craig Armstrong Scoring ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’
Craig Armstrong is composing the original score for the upcoming comedy sequel Bridget Jones’s Baby. The film is directed by Sharon Maguire who previously directed the 2001 original film and stars Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, Patrick Dempsey, Jim Broadbent, Gemma Jones and Emma Thompson. The movie follows the title character as she finds herself pregnant and doesn’t know who the father is. Helen Fielding has co-written the screenplay with Thompson and Dan Mazer (Ali G Indahouse, I Give It a Year). Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Love Actually, Atonement, Rush, United 93) and Debra Hayward (Les Miserables) are producing the Working Titles Pictures production.

Opening in most theaters is the action adventure sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows directed by David Green, produced by Michael Bay and starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Stephen Amell, Tyler Perry, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Alan Ritchson, Brian Tee and Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly. Craig Armstrong, Ennio Morricone & Bear McCreary Honored at ASCAP Screen Music Awards
Last night, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) held its annual Screen Music Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Craig Armstrong was honored with the ASCAP Henry Mancini Award, which is given to composers for outstanding achievements and contributions to the world of music for film, television and visual media. The Grammy Award- and Golden Globe-winning composer was presented the award by ASCAP president Paul Williams and director Oliver Stone who collaborated with Armstrong on the features World Trade Center, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and the upcoming Snowden, as well as the docu-series The Untold History of the United States.

The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) announced today that composer Craig Armstrong will be honored at the 31st Annual Screen Music Awards (previously known as ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards) on March 24, 2016 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, California. Armstrong will receive the Henry Mancini Award, which is given to composers for outstanding achievements and contributions to the world of music for film, television and visual media. The composer is known for his numerous collaborations with director Baz Luhrmann, including Romeo & Juliet, The Great Gatsby and Moulin Rouge!, for which he received a Golden Globe and BAFTA Award.

‘Victor Frankenstein’ Soundtrack Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the horror thriller Victor Frankenstein have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, Love Actually, The Incredible Hulk). The soundtrack will be released on November 20, 2015 by La-La Land Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Victor Frankenstein is directed by Paul McGuigan and stars Daniel Radcliffe, James McAvoy, Jessica Brown Findlay, Andrew Scott and Freddie Fox. The movie follows Frankenstein and his faithful assistant, Igor, as the two romp through Victorian England stealing body parts and trading banter as they try to unlock the secret to immortality.

Craig Armstrong has been tapped to score the upcoming drama Me Before You. The film is directed by Thea Sharrock (The Hollow Crown: Henry V) and stars Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin, Janet McTeer, Brendan Coyle, Matthew Lewis, Samantha Spiro, Vanessa Kirby, Jenna Coleman, Charles Dance, Stephen Peacock and Ben Lloyd-Hughes. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Jojo Moyes and follows a woman in a small town who forms an unlikely bond with a recently paralyzed man she’s taking care of. Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Weber (The Fault in Our Stars, The Spectacular Now, (500) Days of Summer) have written the screenplay.

Craig Armstrong revealed in a recent interview with DIY that he will be reuniting with Oliver Stone on the upcoming biographical drama Snowden. The film directed by Stone (Born on the Fourth of July, JFK, Wall Street, Platoon) stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Scott Eastwood, Melissa Leo, Nicolas Cage, Timothy Olyphant, Zachary Quinto and Tom Wilkinson. The movie is based on the books The Snowden Files: The Inside Story of the World’s Most Wanted Man by Luke Harding and Time of the Octopus by Anatoly Kucherena, which chronicles Edward Snowden’s time in Russia hoping to get asylum while the United States was demanding his extradition. Stone also co-wrote the screenplay with Kieran Fitzgerald (The Homesman).
