Three new movies opened nationwide this past Wednesday:

Playing in most theaters is the animated feature The Good Dinosaur directed by Peter Sohn and featuring the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, Marcus Scribner, A.J. Buckley and Steve Zahn. The film’s original music is composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Capote) and Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Silent Hill). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Click here for the full album details. Also playing nationwide is the sports drama Creed directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone, Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad and Anthony Bellews. Ludwig Goransson (Fruitvale Station, Community, We’re the Millers, 30 Minutes or Less) has composed the film’s original music. ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Pixar Animation’s The Good Dinosaur have been revealed. The album feature stye film’s original music composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Little Miss Sunshine) and Jeff Danna (The Boondock Saints, Tyrant, Silent Hill). The soundtrack will be released on November 20, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Good Dinosaur is directed by Peter Sohn and features the voice talent of features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, Marcus Scribner, A.J. Buckley and Steve Zahn. The movie follows an Apatosaurus named Arlo who makes an unlikely human friend and learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

Walt Disney Records to Release ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Soundtrack

Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for Pixar Animation Studios’ The Good Dinosaur. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Surf’s Up) and Jeff Danna (The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The Boondock Saints, Fracture). Jeff Danna Co-Scoring Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’

Jeff Danna has joined his brother Mychael Danna to co-score Pixar Animation Studios’ upcoming feature The Good Dinosaur. The film is directed by Peter Sohn and features the voices of Raymond Ochoa, Jack Bright, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Sam Elliott, Anna Paquin, Marcus Scribner, A.J. Buckley and Steve Zahn. The movie is set in a world where dinosaurs have never become extinct and follows a young dinosaur who loses himself after falling into a river, sweeping him far away from his home. Denise Ream (Cars 2) is producing the project and John Lasseter serves as an executive producer. The composers’ music is being recorded this week in Los Angeles.

Thomas Newman to Score Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’

Thomas Newman revealed at a recent event at Le Moyne and Syracuse University as part of their Film Talk Series (via The Dolphin) that he will be reteaming with Pixar on next year’s animated feature The Good Dinosaur. The movie is directed by Bob Peterson and is set in a world where the cataclysmic asteroid that changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct. Pixar and Disney Animation’s Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter and John Walker (The Incredibles) are producing the film. Peterson previously co-directed Pixar’s Up, which featured an Academy Award-winning score by Michael Giacchino. Newman has previously scored two animated films for Pixar, Finding Nemo and Wall-E, both directed by Andrew Stanton.
