Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Love Actually, Ray, Romeo + Juliet, The Bone Collector) has composed the original music for the upcoming British drama The Great Escaper. The film is directed by Oliver Parker (The Importance of Being Earnest, Johnny English Reborn) and stars Michael Caine, Glenda Jackson and John Standing. The movie is inspired by true events and tells the story of octogenarian Bernard Jordan’s escape from his care home to attend the 70th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings in France.

Craig Armstrong’s ‘Love Actually’ Score to Be Released
Back Lot Music will release the first-ever commercial score album for the 2003 romantic comedy Love Actually written and directed by Richard Curtis and starring Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy and Rowan Atkinson. The album features the film’s original score composed by Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, The Bone Collector, Ray, Far from the Madding Crowd, The One and Only Ivan). Also included are two versions of Billy Mack’s Christmas Is All Around. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 19 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. A limited edition CD version will released by La-La Land Records later this month.

CMA Records will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama The Most Reluctant Convert. Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Incredible Hulk, The Great Gatsby, Romeo + Juliet, The Bone Collector, Love Actually) has been tapped to score the upcoming biographical drama The Most Reluctant Convert. The film is directed by Norman Stone (Shadowlands) and stars Max McLean, Nicholas Ralph, Eddie Ray Martin, Tom Glenister (as J.R.R. Tolkien), David Shields and Owen Barfield. The movie is based on the stage play of the same title and charts the spiritual journey of renowned writer C.S. Lewis prior to the publication of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, and before his marriage to Joy Davidman.
Craig Armstrong Scoring ‘Soulmates’ Episode ‘Watershed’
Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, Love Actually, The Bone Collector) has composed the original music for the first episode of the new AMC anthology series Soulmates created by Will Bridges (Black Mirror: USS Callister & Shut Up and Dance) & Brett Goldstein. Episode 1, entitled Watershed, is directed by Rob Savage and stars Sarah Snook, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Dolly Wells and Darren Boyd. The show is set 15 years into the future, when science has made a discovery that changes the lives of everyone on the planet – a test that unequivocally tells you who your soulmate is. Bridges & Goldstein also wrote the episode and are executive producing the project with Jolyon Symonds (The Escapist) for Fearless Minds, a Banijay Group company.
‘The One and Only Ivan’ Soundtrack Album Announced
The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s fantasy drama The One and Only Ivan have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Grammy Award and Golden Globe winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, Love Actually). Also included is the original end credits song Free written by Diane Warren and performed by Charlie Puth (also coming out as a digital single tomorrow). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 21 and will be available to stream/download on Anazon and other digital music stores. The One and Only Ivan is directed by Thea Sharrock and stars Sam Rockwell, Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, Danny DeVito, Helen Mirren, Brooklynn Prince, Ramon Rodriguez, Ariana Greenblatt, Chaka Khan, Mike White, Ron Funches and Phillipa Soo.

Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, August 18, is the British comedy Dead Pixels created by Jon Brown and starring Alexa Davies, Will Merrick, Sargon Yeld, Charlotte Ritchie, David Mumeni and Noush Skaugen. Andrew Barnabas & Paul Arnold (The Hatton Garden Job, Stoner Express, Primal, My Brother Is a Dog) are composing the show’s original music. The series, which, premiered last year in the UK on E4 and will debut in the U.S. on The CW. The comedy, which follows a group of friends who are obsessed with the online fantasy game “Kingdom Scrolls,” has already been renewed for a second season and will air every Tuesday night.

Decca Classics will release a score album for the British/Australian drama Dirt Music. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 7 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon. The film’s original score is composed by Mychael Danna (Life of Pi, Moneyball, Capote, Little Miss Sunshine) and Jeff Danna (The Good Dinosaur, The Addams Family, Storks). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as an original song co-written and performed by Brandi Carlile.
