Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original animated film That Christmas. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Academy Award nominee John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon, The Bourne Identity, Shrek, Solo: A Star Wars Story, United 93, Happy Feet, Rio, Bolt, Don’t Worry Darling). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 4 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. That Christmas is directed by Simon Otto and features the voices of Brian Cox, Fiona Shaw, Jodie Whittaker, Alex Macqueen, Lolly Adefope, Katherine Parkinson, Sindhu Vee, India Brown, Bill Nighy and Rhys Darby. The Locksmith Animation production based on the trilogy of children’s books by Richard Curtis (who also co-wrote the screenplay) follows a group of townsfolk of Wellington-on-Sea as they experience the worst snowstorm in history that alters everyone’s Christmas plans, including Santa’s.

Craig Armstrong’s ‘Love Actually – The Love Themes for Orchestra’ Album Announced
CMA Records has announced Love Actually – The Love Themes for Orchestra, a new album featuring 15 tracks from the score for Richard Curtis’ 2003 romantic comedy starring Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Laura Linney, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Keira Knightley, Bill Nighy and Rowan Atkinson. Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, Romeo + Juliet, The Incredible Hulk, Ray, Far from the Madding Crowd) has revisited his score to compose fuller versions of his score cues, which have been newly reworked, adapted and extended by the composer and recorded with the Budapest Art Orchestra, conducted by Peter Pejtsik. The album will be released digitally and on a limited edition CD on November 24 (coinciding with the movie’s 20th anniversary).

Back Lot Music will release the first-ever commercial score album for the 2003 romantic comedy Love Actually written and directed by Richard Curtis and starring Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth, Laura Linney, Emma Thompson, Keira Knightley, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy and Rowan Atkinson. The album features the film’s original score composed by Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Romeo + Juliet, The Bone Collector, Ray, Far from the Madding Crowd, The One and Only Ivan). Also included are two versions of Billy Mack’s Christmas Is All Around. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 19 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. A limited edition CD version will released by La-La Land Records later this month.
‘About Time’ Soundtrack Details
Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for the upcoming romantic comedy About Time. The album features the songs from the film, including the original song How Long Will I Love You by Ellie Goulding, as well as tracks by Ben Folds, The Cure, Amy Winehouse, Paul Buchanan, The Killers, T.A.T.U. and Arvo Pärt. Also included is a cue from the film’s original score composed by Nick Laird-Clowes. The soundtrack will be released in the UK on September 2, 2013 and in the U.S. on October 28, 2013. Nick Laird-Clowes is currently scoring the upcoming romantic comedy About Time. The film is written and directed by Richard Curtis (screenwriter of War Horse, Notting Hill and Bridget Jones’s Diary) and stars Rachel McAdams, Domhnall Gleeson, Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Margot Robbie, Lydia Wilson and Vanessa Kirby. The movie follows a young man who discovers he can travel in time and decides to make his world a better place by getting a girlfriend. The Working Title Films production is produced by Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner (Atonement, Les Miserables, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). Curtis’ previous directorial efforts featured music by Craig Armstrong (Love Actually) and Hans Zimmer (Pirate Radio).
