The full details of the soundtrack album for the horror thriller Hereditary have been announced. The album features the film’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Blue Caprice, Outlaws and Angels, Lavender). The soundtrack will be released physically and digitally on June 8, 2018. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version. Hereditary is written and directed by Ari Aster and stars Toni Collette, Milly Shapiro, Gabriel Byrne, Alex Wolff and Ann Dowd. Colin Stetson and Weyes Blood have composed the original score for the upcoming drama Friday’s Child. The film is written and directed by A.J. Edwards (The Better Angels) and stars Tye Sheridan, Imogen Poots, Jeffrey Wright, Caleb Landry Jones and Brett Butler. The movie follows a young drifter who turns to petty crime to survive after getting out of foster care, and discovers an impossible love in an unlikely friend. Christian Sosa, Nicolas Gonda (To the Wonder, Knight of Cups) and Tyler Glodt are producing the project.

Guaranteed to top the weekend box office is the comic book movie Logan directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant and Dafne Keen. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (The Wolverine, 3:10 to Yuma, Scream, World War Z, Hellboy, The Hurt Locker). Also opening wide is the teen drama Before I Fall directed by Ry Russo-Young and starring Zoey Deutch, Halston Sage, Logan Miller, Kian Lawley, Elena Kampouris, Diego Boneta, Jennifer Beals, Cynthy Wu and Medalion Rahimi. Adam Taylor (Meadowland, August: Osage County) has composed the film’s original score. No soundtrack album has been released. Mhuesik Factory has released a soundtrack album for the western Outlaws and Angels. The album features the film’s original music composed by Colin Stetson (Blue Caprice, Lavender). Also included is the song Devil’s Girl by The Overnight featuring Melody Michalski. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Outlaws and Angels is written and directed by JT Mollner and stars Chad Michael Murray, Francesca Eastwood, Madisen Beaty, Ben Browder, Frances Fisher, Keith Loneker, Luke Wilson and Teri Polo.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the Ghostbusters reboot directed by Paul Feig and starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth. The film’s original score is composed by Theodore Shapiro (Tropic Thunder, Spy, The Devil Wears Prada) who also makes a cameo appearance in the movie. RCA Records has released a separate soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists including WALK THE MOON, Fall Out Boy ft. Colin Stetson & Sarah Neufeld Scoring ‘Lavender’
Colin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld are composing the music for the upcoming psychological thriller Lavender. The film is directed by Ed Gass-Donnelly (The Last Exorcism Part II) and stars Abbie Cornish, Diego Klattenhoff, Dermot Mulroney, Justin Long, Lola Flanery and Sarah Abbot. The movie follows a photographer struggling with severe memory loss who begins to think that she may be responsible for the deaths of family members she never knew she had. Gass-Donnelly has written the screenplay with Colin Frizzell and is also producing the project with Dave Valleau (Reasonable Doubt, The Entitled).
