Danny Lux Scoring CBS’ ‘The Millers’
Danny Lux is scoring the new CBS comedy The Millers. The show is created by Greg Garcia and stars Will Arnett, Margo Martindale, Jayma Mays, JB Smoove, Nelson Franklin, Eve Moon and Beau Bridges. The series follows a recently divorced local roving news reporter looking forward to living the singles life until his parents’ marital problems unexpectedly derail his plan. Garcia is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production. Lux has previously scored the Garcia-created comedy My Name is Earl and is also scoring the writer/producer’s Fox comedy Raising Hope with Matt Mariano.

John Swihart to Score CBS’ ‘We Are Men’
John Swihart has been tapped to score the upcoming CBS comedy We Are Men. The show is created by Rob Greenberg and stars Tony Shalhoub, Jerry O’Connell, Kal Penn, Chris Smith and Rebecca Breeds. The series follows four single guys living in a short-term apartment complex who unexpectedly find camaraderie over their many missteps in love. Greenberg is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios production with Eric and Kim Tannenbaum (Two and a Half Men). Greenberg has previously produced and directed numerous episodes of the CBS hit comedy How I Met Your Mother, which is also scored by Swihart and returns for a ninth and final season this fall.
Jeff Russo and Ben Decter to Score CBS’ ‘Hostages’
Jeff Russo and Ben Decter are scoring the upcoming serialized CBS drama Hostages. The show is created by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor, writer of The Day After Tomorrow) and stars Toni Collette as a premiere surgeon who is thrust into a chilling political conspiracy when her family is taken hostage by rogue FBI Agent, played by Dylan McDermott, who orders her to assassinate the President when she operates on him. Tate Donovan, Rhys Coiro, Billy Brown, Sandrine Holt, James Naughton, Quinn Shephard and Mateus Ward are co-starring. Nachmanoff has also directed the pilot episode and is executive producing the Warner Bros Television production with Jerry Bruckheimer & Jonathan Littman (CSI, Without a Trace), Omri Givon, Rotem Shamir and Chayim Sharir.
Jeff Cardoni to Score Neil LaBute’s ‘Full Circle’
Jeff Cardoni has been hired to score the upcoming TV drama Full Circle. The 10 episode series marks the television debut of filmmaker and playwright Neil LaBute (Lakeview Terrace, In the Company of Men, Nurse Betty) and examines the human condition and relationships through a series of conversations between 11 people whose lives, unbeknownst to them, are intertwined. The show’s cast includes Tom Felton, Minka Kelly, Julian McMahon, David Boreanaz, Keke Palmer, Devon Gearhart, Billy Campbell, Kate Walsh, Cheyenne Jackson, Noah Silver, Ally Sheedy and Robin Weigert. Nick Hamm (The Hole, Godsend, Rogue) is executive producing the project for Momentum TV.
‘NCIS: Benchmark’ Soundtrack Details
Artists’ Addiction Records will release a new soundtrack album for the CBS hit drama NCIS. The album, entitled NCIS: Benchmark, features new tracks from some of the show’s cast members including Michael Weatherly and Pauley Perrette, as well as songs by bands including the Neon Trees and The Boxer Rebellion. Also included is a version of the NCIS Theme composed the series’ composer Brian Kirk. The soundtrack will be released on September 24, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. CBS Records has previously released three different soundtracks for the procedural, including an album featuring Kirk’s score. NCIS is created by Donald P. Bellisario & Don McGill stars Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum, Sean Murray and Cote de Pablo. The tenth season of the series will be released on August 20 on DVD and the eleventh season is set to premiere on September 24 on CBS.

W.G. Snuffy Walden Scoring CBS’ Stephen King Adaptation ‘Under the Dome’
W.G. Snuggy Walden is currently scoring the CBS summer series Under the Dome. The show is an adaptation of Stephen King’s bestselling novel and is produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and DreamWorks Television. The limited 13-episodes series is set in Chester’s Mill, a small New England town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. The show’s cast includes Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Colin Ford, Natalie Martinez, Alexander Koch, Britt Robertson, Nicholas Strong, Jolene Purdy, Aisha Hinds and Dean Norris. Spielberg is executive producing the project with King, Neil Baer (ER, A Gifted Man), Brian K. Sean Callery Scoring ‘Backstrom’ Pilot
Sean Callery has scored the pilot for the CBS drama Backstrom. The show based on the Swedish book series by criminologist Leif G.W. Persson is created by Hart Hanson and follows on an overweight, offensive, irascible detective as he tries, and fails, to change his self-destructive behavior. The pilot stars Rainn Wilson, Dennis Haysbert, Mamie Gummer, Kristoffer Polaha, Page Kennedy, Beatrice Rosen, Thomas Dekker and Camryn Manheim. Hanson is executive producing the project with Persson and Niclas Salomonsson. Callery has previously collaborated with Hanson on the Fox hit drama Bones and its spinoff The Finder.
