Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the survival horror thriller/comedy Send Help directed by Sam Raimi and starring Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien. The film’s original music is composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Spider-Man, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Alice in Wonderland,Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Good Will Hunting, Men in Black). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening nationwide is the action thriller Shelter directed by Ric Roman Waugh and staring Jason Statham, Bodhi Rae Breathnach, Bill Nighy and Naomi Ackie. David Buckley (The Sandman, Nobody, The Good Wife, The Nice Guys, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Good Fight, The Lincoln Lawyer, Papillon, Jason Bourne) has composed the film’s original music. ‘Pike River’ Soundtrack Album Released

Karl Sölve Steven (Come to Daddy, Uproar, The Justice of Bunny King, Bookworm, The Girl on the Bridge, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a #@%!) has released a soundtrack album for the New Zealand drama Pike River. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Also listen to Steven’s first track (Eurydice) below. Pike River is directed by Robert Sarkies and stars Melanie Lynskey, Robyn Malcolm and Lucy Lawless. The movie tells the true story of two women whose friendship empowered them to fight for justice after the Pike River Mine Tragedy took the lives of twenty-nine men underground. Lior Rosner (Will & Grace, AJ and the Queen, Seconds Apart, Lazy Susan, The History of Comedy) has recently composed the music for the upcoming sci-fi action adventure Storm Rider: Legend of Hammerhead. Erick Schroder (The Ultimate Playlist of Noise, Under the Stadium Lights, No Man’s Land, Skeletons in the Closet) has provided additional music to the film directed by Zoran Lisinac (Toma) & Domagoj Mazuran and starring Marco Ilso, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Gilles Geary, Goran Bogdan, Ivana Dudic, Neb Chupin, Billy Barratt, Caroline Goodall and James Cosmo. The movie takes place after the Great Flood has split the world into scattered islands threatened by a colossal storm and follows two renegade Riders as they dare to challenge fate and venture into the unknown,. ‘A Simple Twist of Fate’ Digital Soundtrack Album Released

Hollywood Records has released a digital version of the soundtrack album for the 1994 comedy drama A Simple Twist of Fate directed by Gillies MacKinnon and starring Steve Martin (who also wrote the screenplay), Gabriel Byrne, Catherine O’Hara and Stephen Baldwin. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Cliff Eidelman (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, He’s Just Not That Into You, Christopher Columbus: The Discovery, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, My Girl 2, One True Thing). Lee Mendelson Film Productions will release the first-ever soundtrack album for two classic animated television specials: 1976’s It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brow created by Charles M. Schulz and directed by Phil Roman and 1966’s Charlie Brown’s All Stars! written by Schulz and directed by Bill Melendez. The album features the premiere release of the complete scores from the second and fifteenth (and final) Peanuts specials composed by Vince Guaraldi (A Charlie Brown Christmas, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Boy Named Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving). The It’s Arbor Day, Charlie Brown 50th Anniversary Extended Edition & Charlie Brown’s All Stars! 60th Anniversary Edition will be released digitally and physically (on CD and vinyl) on March 20. ‘The Gray House’ Soundtrack Album Details

MCA Nashville will release a soundtrack album for the Prime Video original limited series The Gray House. The album features War and Treaty’s main title theme song Blood in the River, as well as original tracks performed by Shania Twain & Drake Milligan, Killer Mike, Adrienne Warren, Yolanda Adams, Lainey Wilson, Scott Stapp and Larkin Poe. The soundtrack will be released on February 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Heart of America written by Erin Enderlin, Jim ‘Moose’ Brown & Jeff Fahey and performed by Willie Nelson) is being released today and can also be checked out after the jump. A separate album featuring John Debney’s & Bruce Broughton’s original score from the historical drama will be announced soon. ‘Pretty in Pink’ 40th Anniversary Vinyl Edition Soundtrack Album Announced

UMe has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1986 teen comedy drama classic Pretty in Pink directed by Howard Deutch, written by John Hughes and starring Molly Ringwald, Harry Dean Stanton, Jon Cryer, James Spader, Annie Potts and Andrew McCarthy. The 40th Anniversary Edition reissue features the songs from the movie, including The Psychedelic Furs’ Top 5 title track, OMD’s If You Leave, Echo & The Bunnymen’s Bring on the Dancing Horses, The Smiths’ Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want and INXS’ Do Wot You Do. ‘Moses the Black’ Soundtrack Album Details

Taylor Gang Entertainment will release a soundtrack album for the crime drama Moses the Black. The album features the original songs from the film by Wiz Khalifa, including collaborations with Juicy J, JMB Bobby Hill and TYuS. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, January 30 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A first track (Too Blessed to Be Stressed) has already been released as a digital single last Friday and can be checked out after the jump. Moses the Black is written and directed by Yelena Popovic and stars Omar Epps, Wiz Khalifa himself, Quavo and Chukwudi Iwuji.
