Premiering today is the second season of the Netflix original series Bad Thoughts created by Tom Segura and starring Segura himself, alongside guest stars including Alex English, Allegra Edwards, Brooks Wheelan, Busy Philipps, Christina Pazsitsky,Frankie Quinones, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Johnny Pemberton, Kevin Nealon, Lily Sullivan, Luke Wilson, Maria Bamford, Mike Mitchell and Odette Annable. Dan Gross (Drunk History, Nude Nuns with Big Guns) has composed the new season’s original music, taking over from Pinar Toprak & Gerrit Wunder who scored last year’s first season. The comedy, which follows Segura as he navigates unthinkable situations and fantasies within a cinematic world, is available to stream exclusively on Netflix.
Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, May 25, is the British TV series Summerwater developed by John Donnelly based on Sarah Moss’ book of the same name and starring Dougray Scott, Shirley Henderson, Valene Kane, Arnas Fedaravičius, Anna Próchniak, Shereen Cutkelvin, James Harkness, Anders Hayward and Daniel Rigby. The show’s original music is composed by Gazelle Twin (aka Elizabeth Bernholz) (The Power, Black Cab, Welcome to the Blumhouse: Nocturne, Then You Run). Invada Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the drama premiered in the UK on Channel 4. Also premiering tomorrow is the Prime Video original series Spider-Noir developed by Oren Uziel & Steven Lightfoot and starring Nicolas Cage, Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, Karen Rodriguez, Abraham Popoola and Brendan Gleeson. Kris Bowers (The Wild Robot, Bridgerton, Green Book, Haunted Mansion, King Richard,Secret Invasion, The Color Purple, Space Jam: A New Legacy) & Michael Dean Parsons (Pain Hustlers, Light & Magic, Sketchbook, Gold & Greed: The Hunt for Fenn’s Treasure, Stan Lee) have composed the show’s original music. Milan Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score on May 27 and has already released the opening theme song Saving Grace by Kirby as a digital single earlier this month. Premiering on Friday, May 29, is the Apple TV original series Star City created by Ben Nedivi, Matt Wolpert & Ronald D. Moore inspired by the streamer’s For All Mankind and starring Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Alice Englert, Agnes O’Casey, Solly McLeod, Josef Davies, Adam Nagaitis,Ruby Ashbourne Serkis and Priya Kansara. The show’s original music is composed by Federico Jusid (The English, A Gentleman in Moscow, The Secret in Their Eyes, The Night Manager, A Thousand Blows, Misconduct, The Penguin Lessons, The Head). Also premiering on Friday is the HBO original film Miss You, Love You written and directed by Jim Rash and starring Allison Janney, Andrew Rannells, Suzy Nakamura, Bonnie Hunt, Oscar Nuñez and Lisa Schurga. Mark Orton (The Holdovers, Nebraska, The Good Girl, My Old Lady, 12 Mighty Orphans,On Swift Horses, Love Hard) has composed the movie’s original music.
