Milan Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Dear White People. The album the songs from the show’s fourth and final season produced by series composer Kris Bowers (Green Book, Bridgerton, Space Jam: A New Legacy, Mrs. America, Respect, When They See Us) and performed by cast members including Logan Browning, John Patrick Amedori, Marque Richardson, Ashley Featherson, Brandon P. Bell, Joi Collier, Quei Tann, Brandon Black & others. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 22 and is now available for pre-order here. Columbia Records has previously released the soundtracks for the show’s first two seasons and Lionsgate Records has released an album featuring Bowers’ score from the first three seasons. ‘The Nowhere Inn’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Loma Vista Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy The Nowhere Inn. The album features the film’s original music composed by singer/songwriter St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) who also co-wrote the movie’s screenplay and serves a producer on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, September 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. St. Vincent’s title song is already available to stream/download now. The show is developed by Dan Dworkin & Jay Beattie based on Dan Brown’s best-selling novel of the same title and stars Ashley Zukerman, Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp. The drama follows the early adventures of young Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon who must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy. ‘Stripes’ 40th Anniversary Soundtrack Album Announced

La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1981 comedy Stripes directed by Ivan Reitman and starring Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, Warren Oates, P. J. Soles, Sean Young and John Candy. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the Columbia Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein (The Magnificent Seven, To Kill a Mockingbird, Ghostbusters, Airplane, Animal House, Far from Heaven), including around 10 minutes of previously unreleased music. Varese Sarabande has announced the label’s titles for Record Store Day Black Friday 2021, including a new soundtrack album for the 1986 thriller Blue Velvet written and directed by David Lynch and starring Kyle MacLachlan, Isabella Rossellini, Dennis Hopper and Laura Dern. The double LP features the content of the original soundtrack album (including the film’s original score composed and conducted by Angelo Badalamenti and songs performed by Bobby Vinton, Bill Doggett, Roy Orbison, Ketty Lester & Julee Cruise) on the first disc and previously unreleased alternate versions, improvisations and experimentations by Badalamenti (released under the title of Lumberton Firewood) on the second disc. Maisie Music Publishing a soundtrack album for the Netflix original film Nightbooks. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Michael Abels (Get Out, Us, Bad Education, See You Yesterday, Fake Famous, Allen v. Farrow). Also included is CHVRCHES’s cover of Gerard McMahon’s song Cry Little Sister (written for 1987’s The Lost Boys). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 15 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Nightbooks is directed by David Yarovesky and stars Winslow Fegley, Lidya Jewett and Krysten Ritter. The movie is based on J.A. White’s horror-fantasy children’s book of the same title and follows a boy obsessed with scary stories who is trapped in a wicked witch’s magical apartment and must tell a scary story every night to stay alive. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1989 war drama Glory directed by Edward Zwick and starring Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, Cary Elwes and Morgan Freeman. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the TriStar Pictures production composed and conducted by James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, Braveheart, Apollo 13, Field of Dreams, Aliens, A Beautiful Mind) and performed by The Boys Choir of Harlem and The Hollywood Studio Symphony. The 2-CD set features the score presentation (including previously unreleased music) and source music on the first disc and the remastered original 1989 soundtrack album, as well as additional music on the second disc. The movie is directed by Santiago Menghini and stars Cristina Rodlo, Marc Menchaca, David Figlioli, David Barrera and Moronke Akinola. The horror thriller is based on the novel by Adam Nevill (The Ritual) and follows an immigrant in search of the American dream who finds herself in a nightmare when she’s forced to take a room in a boarding house.
