Premiering on Wednesday, May 10, is the FX limited series Class of ’09 created by Tom Rob Smith and starring Brian Tyree Henry, Kate Mara, Jon Jon Briones, Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, Brooke Smith, Jake McDorman and Rosalind Eleazar. The show’s original music is composed by Will Bates (The Magicians, UnbelievableAway, The PathThe Looming Tower, I Origins). Also premiering on Wednesday is the Disney+ original series The Muppets Mayhem developed by Adam F. Goldberg, Bill Barretta & Jeff Yorkes and starring Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, Eric Jacobson, Saara Chaudry and Barretta himself. Mick Giacchino (ExtinctJim Henson’s Turkey Hollow, Zootopia+) has composed the show’s original score. Linda Perry serves as the project’s executive music producer and has also contributed original songs. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album featuring both songs and score on May 10. Carl-Johan Sevedag (Borg vs McEnroeHorizon Line, Opponent, Red Dot) has released a soundtrack album for the Polish horror drama Hellhole (Ostatnia wieczerza). The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Hellhole is co-written and directed by Bartosz M. Kowalski and stars Piotr Żurawski, Olaf Lubaszenko, Sebastian Stankiewicz, Rafał Iwaniuk, Lech Dyblik and Krzysztof Satała. The movie is set in 1987 Poland and follows a police officer investigating mysterious disappearances who infiltrates a remote monastery and discovers a dark truth about its clergy. Dan Romer (Luca, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Maniac, Superman & Lois, Station Eleven) & Osei Essed (How to Survive a Pandemic, Finders Keepers, Katrina Babies) have teamed up to score the new Disney+ original movie Crater. The film is directed by Kyle Patrick Alvarez (The Stanford Prison Experiment, Homecoming) and stars Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Mckenna Grace, Billy Barratt, Thomas Boyce, Orson Hong and Scott Mescudi. The coming-of-age sci-fi adventure tells the story of a boy raised on a lunar mining colony who – together with his three best friends – goes on a trip to explore a mysterious crater to fulfill the last wish of his recently deceased father. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 written and directed by James Gunn and starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Will Poulter and Bradley Cooper.. The film’s original score is composed by John Murphy (28 Days Later…, The Suicide SquadSunshine, Kick-AssLes Miserables). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released two soundtrack albums featuring Murphy’s score and the songs from the movie. Also opening wide is the romantic comedy drama Love Again written and directed by Jim Strouse and starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan and Celine Dion.  Keegan DeWitt (Hearts Beat Loud, I’ll See You in My Dreams, A Teacher, Divorce) has composed the film’s original score. Columbia Records will release a soundtrack album featuring Celine Dion’s songs from the movie (including several original tracks), as well as three cues from DeWitt’s score next Friday, May 12. Ezinma Scoring HBO’s ‘Angel City’

Violinist and composer Ezinma has made her television scoring debut on the new HBO original documentary series Angel City. The show is directed by Arlene Nelson (Gutsy) and centers on the groundbreaking Los Angeles-based professional women’s soccer team, Angel City Football Club (ACFC), founded by actress Natalie Portman, venture capitalist Kara Nortman and gaming entrepreneur Julie Uhrman. The 3-parter pulls back the curtain on the team’s origin story through the 2022 inaugural season, and reveals the passion and grit needed to build a franchise from scratch. Patrick Stump, lead singer of Fall Out Boy, has contributed original music to the upcoming comedy Sick Girl. The film is written and directed by Jennifer Cram and stars Nina Dobrev, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Sherry Cola, Brandon Mychal Smith, Hayley Magnus, Stephanie Koening, Dan Bakkedahl and Ray McKinnon. Warp Records has announced a soundtrack album for the British romantic comedy drama Rye Lane. The album features the film’s original score composed by Kwes. The soundtrack will be released digitally and on vinyl on November 3, 2023 (click here to pre-order). An EP featuring six first tracks is already available to stream/download now on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The show is created by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) & Jim Field Smith (She’s Out of My League, Butter) and stars Idris Elba, Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams and Max Beesley. WaterTower Music has released a third soundtrack for DC’s first-ever Batman preschool series Batwheels. The Vol. 3 EP features five more original songs from the show’s first season co-written by Andy Sturmer (who also produced all tracks) with Susanna Benn and executive producer Michael G. Stern. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to all five tracks below. The label has previously released a first 8-track volume and a second volume with additional five songs last fall.
