Premiering on Tuesday, October 24, is the documentary Milli Vanilli directed by Luke Korem about the titular superstar duo. The film’s original music is composed by Mondo Boys (She Dies Tomorrow, The Girlfriend Experience, Fatman, Phoenix Forgotten, Silk Road). The movie, which explores the duo’s ascension to success that came with a devastating price that ultimately led to their infamous undoing, premiered at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival and will make its streaming debut on Paramount+.

Premiering on Wednesday, October 25, is the Netflix original documentary series Life on Our Planet narrated by Morgan Freeman and executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Alastair Fothergill, Keith Scholey, Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Black Widow, His Dark Materials, Top Gun: Maverick, Black Adam) has composed the show’s original music. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring Balfe’s themes and suites, as well as eight albums featuring the composer’s score from each episode. ‘Three Little Birds’ Soundtrack Album Released

Banijay Music has released a soundtrack album for the new ITV drama Three Little Birds. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Benjamin Burrell (Shortcut). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Listen to the composer’s title track below. Three Little Birds is created by Sir Lenny Henry and stars Rochelle Neil, Yazmin Belo, Saffron Coomber, Javone Prince, Leemore Marrett Jr, Arthur Darvill, Bobby Gordon and Amy Beth Hayes. The 6-part drama executive produced by Russell T Davies is inspired by Lenny Henry’s mother’s stories about leaving Jamaica in the 1950s for Great Britain, which became her lifelong home and where she raised her family. Volker Bertelmann Named Film Composer of the Year at World Soundtrack Awards

Volker Bertelmann was named Film Composer of the Year at the 23rd World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 50th Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Edward Berger’s All Quiet of the Western Front (for which he also received the Academy Award earlier this year), the Norwegian World War II drama War Sailor and Saara Saarela’s sci-fi drama Memory of Water. Nicholas Britell was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for his score for the fourth and final season of the HBO original series Succession and his music for the first season of Disney+’s Star Wars series Andor. ‘Night of the Hunted’ Soundtrack Album Released

Mathieu Carratier (Delirium, I Lived, For Love) has released a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Night of the Hunted. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. Listen to the composer’s main titles and end titles tracks after the jump. Night of the Hunted is co-written and directed by Franck Khalfoun (Maniac) and stars Camille Rowe, Aleksandar Popovic and J. John Bieler. The movie produced by Alexandre Aja follows an unsuspecting woman who stops at a remote gas station in the dead of night, where she encounters a sociopathic sniper with a secret vendetta and has to figure out who wants her dead. Opening in theaters nationwide is the crime drama Killers of the Flower Moon co-written and directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, John Lithgow and Brendan Fraser. The film’s original music is composed by Robbie Robertson (The Color of Money, The Irishman) who also served as the project’s executive music producer. Opening in select theaters today is the comedy drama The Persian Version written and directed by Maryam Keshavarz and starring Layla Mohammadi, Niousha Noor, Kamand Shafieisabet, Bijan Daneshmand, Bella Warda and Chiara Stella. Rostam Batmanglij (Sound of My Voice, The OA) has composed the film’s original music. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. This year’s panelists include Marcelo Zarvos (Fences, Wonder) who recently scored Antoine Fuqua’s hit thriller The Equalizer 3, Anthony Willis (Promising Young Woman, How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming) whose latest project, Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn, will be released this November and Nami Melumad (Thor: Love and Thunder, An American Pickle) whose current projects include the TV shows Star Trek: Strange New World & Prodigy. Colombian musician, sound artist and composer Lucrecia Dalt (The Seed, The Baby) has been hired to score the upcoming horror feature Rabbit Trap. The film is written and directed by Bryn Chainey and stars Dev Patel, Rosy McEwen and Jade Croot. The movie tells the story two married musicians who have relocated from London to an isolated cabin in Wales in order to complete their new record, when they accidentally make a field recording of a mystical sound and find themselves caught between the ancient spirits of the natural world and the lives they once knew.
