Back Lot Music will release the official soundtrack album for the comedy drama The Holdovers. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Orton (Nebraska, The Good Girl, My Old Lady, 12 Mighty Orphans, Love Hard). Also included is a selection of the classic songs from the movie by The Allman Brothers Band, The Temptations, The Swingle Singers & others. Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Star Trek, Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman, Jurassic World, The Incredibles) is attached to score the upcoming animated feature High in the Clouds. The film is directed by Toby Genkel (The Amazing Maurice, A Stork’s Journey) and will feature six original songs written by Paul McCartney who will also voice one of the main characters. The movie is based on McCartney’s children’s novel of the same title and follows the journey of a headstrong teenage squirrel who lives in a city where music has been banned by a diva-owl who wants to be the only singer in town and goes on a journey to bring music back to his town.
