The full details of the soundtrack album for the movie adaptation of the video game series Gran Turismo have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning & Fallout, Black Widow, Top Gun: Maverick, Bad Boys for Life, His Dark Materials, Black Adam) and Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Corrupted, Sky Hunter). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 11 by Sony Masterworks and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the Icelandic Netflix original series Katla. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Högni (aka Högni Egilsson) . Katla is created by Baltasar Kormákur & Sigurjón Kjartansson and stars Guðrún Eyfjörð, Íris Tanja Flygenring, Ingvar Sigurðsson, Aliette Opheim, Sólveig Arnarsdóttir, Þorsteinn Bachmann and Björn Thors. Jim Parker has passed away at age 88. The British composer was known for scoring over a hundred episodes of ITV’s Midsomer Murders (aka Inspector Barnaby), the first seasons of ITV’s Foyle’s War, BBC’s Born and Bred and BBC’s original 1990 House of Cards series (for which he received a BAFTA TV Award nomination) and its two sequels. He won four BAFTA TV Awards for 1993’s second part of the House of Cards trilogy, To Play the King, 1996’s 4-part drama The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders, the 1997 mini-series The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling and the 1998 TV movie A Rather English Marriage starring Albert Finney, Tom Courtenay & Joanna Lumley.
