The show is written by Nick Stevens (In Plain Sight) based on Balmer’s book Living with a Serial Killer and stars Anna Maxwell Martin and Shaun Evans. Premiering on Tuesday, August 1, is the thriller River Wild directed by Ben Ketai and starring Adam Brody, Leighton Meester and Taran Killan. The film’s original music is composed by Tristan Clopet (StartUp). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Premiering on Friday, August 4, is the Australian Amazon limited series The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart directed by Glendyn Ivin and starring Sigourney Weaver, Asher Keddie, Frankie Adams, Leah Purcell, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Xavier Samuel, Alyla Browne and Sebastián Zurita. Polish pianist, singer and composer Hania Rani (I Never Cry, Subuk) has composed the show’s original music. Original article: Native American hip-hop artist/composer Mato Wayuhi (Reservation Dogs) has been tapped to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ limited series Echo. The show is directed by Sydney Freeland & Catriona McKenzie and stars Alaqua Cox (who reprises her role of Echo/aka Maya Lopez from 2021’s Hawkeye), as well as Chaske Spencer, Devery Jacobs, Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Tantoo Cardinal, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene and Zahn McClarnon. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the supernatural horror family comedy Haunted Mansion directed by Justin Simien and starring LaKeith Stanfield, Owen Wilson, Tiffany Haddish, Danny DeVito, Chase W. Dillon, Rosario Dawson and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film’s original score is composed by Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, Green Book, Secret Invasion, King Richard, Queen Charlotte). Also opening wide is the Australian supernatural horror thriller Talk to Me directed by Danny & Michael Philippou and starring Sophie Wilde, Alexandra Jensen, Otis Dhanji, Joe Bird and Miranda Otto. Cornel Wilczek (Clickbait, These Final Hours, Nowhere Boys) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows a group of friends who discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed in the U.S. by A24. Madison Gate Records has released two soundtrack albums for the Netflix animated series Hilda. The album features the songs (including Grimes’ main title theme) and selections of the score from the first two seasons of the show. Dan Mangan (Hector and the Search for Happiness) and Ryan Carlson (Abby Hatcher, Fuzzly Catcher) composed the music for the first season and Carlson scored the second season.
