emmysThe nominations for the 78th Emmy Awards were announced this morning. The awards will be given out at the 78th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, which is currently scheduled to take place on September 5 & 6 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Here are the music-related categories:

‘Trespasses’ Soundtrack Album Released

Dream Drama has released has released a soundtrack album for the Channel 4 drama Trespasses. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Killing Eve, Black Bag, Out of Sight, Haywire, Logan Lucky, Analyze That) & Brian Irvine (The Apprentice, Ordinary Love). Trespasses is developed by Ailbhe Keogan based on Louise Kennedy’s debut novel and stars Lola Petticrew, Tom Cullen, Gillian Anderson, Martin McCann, Emily Taaffe, Oisín Thompson and Barry Wad. The series directed by Dawn Shadforth tells the story of a young Catholic schoolteacher whose life in 1975 Northern Ireland is shadowed by the Troubles, when she meets and falls for an older, married Protestant barrister. Toydrum (aka Pablo Clements and James Griffith) (Slow Horses, Prevenge, Platform 7, Three Pines, Timestalker, Deep Water, The Banishing) are the composers of the upcoming Apple TV original series Nocturne. The show is created by Rowan Joffé (Tin Star, The American), developed by John Hlavin (The Man Who Fell to Earth, Shooter) based on the bestselling crime novels Lazarus & The Sandman by Lars Kepler and stars Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, Stephen Graham, Bill Camp, Rory Culkin, Chrissy Metz, Gary Carr and Poorna Jagannathan. The crime thriller follows an ex-soldier turned Philadelphia homicide detective who moves to a small town in western Pennsylvania for a quiet life, when the town and his family come under attack from a diabolically cunning serial killer. ‘Nimrods’ Soundtrack Album Details

Reprise Records will release the official soundtrack album for the coming-of-age comedy Nimrods. The album features 22 Green Day hits, as well as the band’s original track I’m Never Gonna R.I.P (which is already out now as a digital single and can also be checked out below), four unreleased live songs the band recorded at the Palladium in Los Angeles featured in the movie, as well as songs by Paradox, Ultra Q and Mckenna Grace and four tracks from Analog Dogs, the fictitious band the film centers around. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically (on CD, vinyl and audio cassette) on July 31 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Nimrods is directed by Lee Kirk and stars Mason Thames, Kylr Coffman, Ryan Foust, Grace herself, Jenna Fischer, Fred Armisen, Angela Kinsey, Jolene,Bobby Lee, Keen Ruffalo, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, Sean Gunn, as well as Green Day themselves. ‘Moana’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Details

The details of the deluxe edition version of the soundtrack album for the the live-action adaptation of Disney’s animated classic Moana have been revealed. The album includes the content of the original album featuring the songs from the film written by Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton, Encanto In the Heights), Opetaia Foaʻi and Mark Mancina (Twister, Tarzan, Speed, Brother Bear, Bad Boys, The Sea Beast, August Rush, Planes, Con Air) and performed by the movie’s cast, the  full original score composed by Mancina, as well as instrumental versions of the songs. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 8 by Walt Disney Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
