Walt Disney Records has announced the official soundtrack album for the live-action adaptation of the Disney animated classic Moana. The album features the songs from the movie, including a new original track, Along the Way, written by Academy Award nominee Lin-Manuel Miranda and performed by Catherine Lagaʻaia (who stars in the title role), original Moana voice actress Auliʻi Cravalho & Dwayne Johnson, as well as new versions of the songs from the animated feature written by Miranda, Opetaia Foaʻi and Mark Mancina. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 26 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl edition will be available to order here within the next few days. Along the Way is already available to stream/download now and can be checked out after the jump. A deluxe edition version featuring the songs, Mancina’s score and instrumental tracks will be coming out on July 8 and a score album will be released on July 10. Check back on this page for the full details of all versions. Moana is directed by Thomas Kail and also stars John Tui, Frankie Adams and Rena Owen. The film will be released in theaters nationwide on July 10 by Walt Disney Pictures.
