Three new movies opened wide this past Wednesday:
Opening in most theaters this holiday weekend is Dreamworks Animation’s Rise of the Guardians directed by Peter Ramsey and featuring the voice talent of Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher and Jude Law. The film’s music is composed by Alexandre Desplat. Varese Sarabande Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Still Dream performed by Renée Fleming and composed by Desplat. Also opening wide is the 3D adventure movie Life of Pi directed by Ang Lee and starring Suraj Sharma, Shravanthi Sainath, Tabu and Gerard Depardieu. The film’s music is composed by Mychael Danna who has previously scored the director’s The Ice Storm and Ride with the Devil.
