Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph,  X-Men: First ClassBig Hero 6Kong: Skull IslandKingsman: The Secret Service) is returning to score the upcoming adventure comedy Jumanji: Open World. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Alex Wolff, Nick Jonas, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Rhys Darby and Danny DeVito. In the final installment of the trilogy, Jumanji breaks free of its console, unleashing its chaos into our world. Kasdan also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Pinkner (AliasFringe) and Scott Rosenberg (Con AirVenom). He is also producing the project with Johnson, Dany Garcia (Moana, Black Adam), Hiram Garcia (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & ShawRampage) and Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-ManVenom). Jackman has previously scored Kasdan’s first two Jumanji movies and also collaborated with the filmmaker on 2024’s Red One. Jumanji: Open World will be released in theaters nationwide on December 25, 2026 by Sony Pictures.

Also coming up for Jackman is Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla x Kong: Supernova (to be released in theaters on March 26, 2027 by Warner Bros. Pictures). He has also contributed music to Tony Gilroy’s Behemoth!, which will premiere at this year’s New York Film Festival before opening in theaters on December 4.
