Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Big Hero 6, Kong: Skull Island, Kingsman: The Secret Service) is returning to score the upcoming adventure comedy Jumanji: Open World. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Alex Wolff, Nick Jonas, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Rhys Darby and Danny DeVito. In the final installment of the trilogy, Jumanji breaks free of its console, unleashing its chaos into our world.

Expanded ‘Jumanji’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1995 fantasy adventure Jumanji directed by Joe Johnston and starring Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier, Jonathan Hyde, Bradley Pierce and Bonnie Hunt. The album features the film’s expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner James Horner (Titanic, Avatar, A Beautiful Mind, Field of Dreams, Braveheart, Apollo 13, Aliens, The Rocketeer), including around 20 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as the content of the original 1995 soundtrack album (released by Epic Soundtrax). The 2-CD set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples.
‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ Soundtrack Details
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the action adventure Jumanji: The Next Level. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier & Civil War, X-Men: First Class, Wreck-It-Ralph, Kong: Skull Island, Big Hero 6) who previously scored 2017’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Jumanji: The Next Level is directed by Jake Kasdan and stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Danny Glover and Danny DeVito.
James Newton Howard to Score Jake Kasdan’s ‘Jumanji’ Sequel
James Newton Howard has been hired to score the upcoming Jumanji sequel. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Orange County) and stars Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, Jack Black and Nick Jonas. No plot details have been announced yet. Scott Rosenberg (High Fidelity, Con Air) and Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The 5th Wave) have written the screenplay based on a previous draft by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers (Spider-Man: Homecoming, The Lego Batman Movie). Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man) and William Teitler (The Polar Express) are producing the project.
