brooklynMichael Brook is composing the music for the upcoming romance Brooklyn. The film is directed by John Crowley (Boy A, Intermission, Closed Circuit) and stars Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Julie Walters and Jim Broadbent. The movie is based on the novel by Colm Toibin and follows a young Irish immigrant who is navigating her way through 1950s Brooklyn and must confront a terrible dilemma — a heartbreaking choice between two men and two countries, between duty and true love. Nick Hornby (About a Boy, High Fidelity) has written the screenplay. Finola Dwyer (Quartet, Severance) and Amanda Posey (An Education, Fever Pitch) are producing the project. don-verdeanIlan Eshkeri has been hired to score the upcoming comedy Don Verdean. The film is directed by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre) and stars Sam Rockwell, Jemaine Clement, Amy Ryan, Danny McBride, Leslie Bibb and Will Forte. The movie follows a Biblical archaeologist who is hired by a local church pastor to find faith-promoting relics in the Holy Land and is forced to get creative after a fruitless expedition. The director has also co-written the screenplay with Jerusha Hess. Brandt Andersen, Dave Hunter and Jason Hatfield are producing the project.
