The film is directed by Annemarie Jacir (Wajib, Salt of This Sea) and stars Hiam Abbass, Kamel Al Basha, Yasmine Al-Massri, Jeremy Irons, Jalal Altawil, Robert Aramayo, Saleh Bakri, Karim Daoud Anaya, Yafa Bakri, Billy Howle, Dhafer L’Abidine and Liam Cunningham. The movie is set against the backdrop of 1936 Palestine when the territory was under British mandatory control and explores the lead-up to and events of the Palestinian Arab Revolt from 1936 to 1939. Netflix Music will release a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original anime film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep. The album features the movie’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, Shadow and Bone, The Greatest Showman, Lady and the Tramp, Project Power, Spiderhead, The Raid: Redemption) who is also scoring Netflix’s The Witcher live-action series. Also included are three original songs co-written by Trapanese and performed by Joey Batey, Mallory Jansen and Christina Wren. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 11 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is s directed by Kang Hei Chul and features the voices of Doug Cockle, Batey, Anya Chalotra, Emily Carey, Wren, Camrus Johnson, Ray Chase and Simon Templeman. The album features the film’s original music composed by Michele Braga (Dogman, Brigands: The Quest for Gold, Freaks OutShadows, The Blunder, Rose Island). Bowers’ score was released by Back Lot Music. They previously received the award for The Social Network and Soul.
